The Liverpool Medical Institution (LMI), founded in 1779, is among the oldest medical societies worldwide. For almost 200 years, this Grade II* Listed building has been the hub for the Merseyside medical community and is primarily known for its medical library. The Institution has adapted to the changing times and now offers conference and meeting spaces, including a gorgeous 19th century lecture theatre in the heart of the city. Delifonseca provides award-winning catering services, and the venue is conveniently located near rail links and offers complimentary parking.

The Orthopaedic Library is a charming and versatile room that can accommodate up to 20 people. It boasts a fascinating permanent exhibit on Hugh Owen Thomas, a renowned surgeon from Liverpool who is considered one of the pioneers of modern orthopaedic surgery, as well as a collection of journals.

The rental fee for this room is £75 per hire.

A fine Victorian building with impressive period lecture theatre and library, and a small medical museum. Open to the public when lectures are advertised
