I had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is conveniently located close to Heathrow Terminal 5, although you need to take the POD shuttle to reach the terminal. The staff were excellent. The lady at check-in was very welcoming, and the service at the restaurant was outstanding. Barti, who looked after me during dinner, was especially kind and friendly. The restaurant has a beautiful view overlooking the airport, so you can watch planes taking off and landing while you eat. The food was also very good. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you have an early flight from Heathrow.

Restaurant review only. (we didn’t stay) Went to see planes taking off for my son’s birthday. Turns out that the runway rotates at 3pm at which point we would have seen them takeoff in front of us. We still saw planes but would have been better later. All food was good and halal. If you order more than a minimum amount of food parking is free

We booked the Thistle Terminal 5 at the last minute during a long layover after spending the day exploring Windsor, and it worked out perfectly. The online booking process was simple, the price was very reasonable, and the self-service kiosks made check-in quick and hassle-free. This isn't a luxury hotel, but it isn't trying to be. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to shower, get some sleep, and be close to Heathrow, it does exactly what it promises. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with a good shower before continuing our journey. The biggest advantage is the location for Terminal 5 travelers. The Heathrow POD transport system made getting to and from the airport incredibly easy, and tickets were available to purchase right at the hotel. We simply walked across the parking lot to the POD station and were back at the terminal within minutes. For travelers with an overnight stay or a long layover at Heathrow, we'd happily stay here again.

We had a long layover at Heathrow and wanted to grab a shower, go into the city, and have a comfy place to sleep. The room is surprisingly decent for one night. Small but functional bathroom. Comfy beds and nice air conditioning. We used the pods to get to the airport terminal and we used the bus from the terminal. I highly recommend the pods to get to the terminal 5, super efficient. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

We always tend to travel to London before flying out. We’ve never tried Thistle, so this was a first. Location wise, it’s great, literally 2 stops down on the Bus. You can get a Bus, Taxi or Uber or even a self drive pod. There’s not much in the price either. Great Location. When we arrived the self check didn’t work but still charged us. We then checked in via desk. We were provided a nice service. Our room was on a higher floor but the rep changed it to the ground floor as he saw we had luggage. The downside to this hotel is there are no lifts, so you see a lot of people struggling with luggage. The menu for the restaurant is fairly normal of a hotel of this status. The drinks menu is also fairly reasonable. The shop is extortionate and ridiculously priced. (£6 for a bag of Malteses). If you’re not happy there’s also a McDonald’s 2 minute walk away. There’s a Shell garage if you need fuel too. The room is definitely 3 star. The decoration could be carried out with a bit more attention but the room is clean, neat and tidy. The bathroom and shower are great. Nice clean neat towels. The bed, is not the most comfortable. So whilst there are conveniences, the sleep is the main part which then also made my mind up as to where I stay next time. If you’re looking at staying somewhere convenient, Thistle is great. If you’d like comfort, pay a little extra and a comfortable bed, cross the road and go to Premier Inn. On our exit the member of staff was very professional and courteous. I did appreciate his service. Thank you for our stay. 💫
