Mercure West Grange Hotel, Boardroom

Having stayed here for 4 nights I can say I will not be returning. The beds are very uncomfortable and the mattresses seem cheap (very springy). The food and drink is massively over priced and the staff don't seem very helpful. No central heating in the room, and I quote we do not turn it on for one person. Will not be returning again.

The bar closes at 9:30 dispute guests being there...the shift had finished! No coffee in rooms, beds only just ok , springs very evident.Shame because it could be so much better.Will say they did a good breakfast but no staff to clear plates away ! Little touches make a big difference

No hot water from the time I arrived until the time I left; when they thought they had fixed it they called my room at 11:30 to let me know, waking me up (and there was still no hot water.). The shower didn't actually function properly as most of the water still came from the tap when you turned it on... Car park was full and I had to park across the entrance after taking instruction from the front desk. Once I'd put my bags away and say down to do some work a member of staff challenged me on my parking location and then apologised when I said I was told to park there. Heating didn't work at all and the room was freezing. All the beers were either off/run out or absolutely awful; the pipes can't have been cleaned for a long time. Staff were clearly trying but unsupported/not properly trained. An absolute shameful excuse for a hotel; avoid at all costs.
