Thank you for considering us as a potential venue for your wedding. The ‘Perfect Wedding’ means different things to different people, dream weddings don’t just happen, they’re planned, and when it comes to taking your vows Kuti’s event organisers are here to ensure you’ll have everything you need to enjoy every moment of your special day, safe in the knowledge that absolutely everything is taken care of.
We take great pride in providing exceptional food and drink, service and a first-class atmosphere. We offer many services to help make your wedding reception perfect, such as great wine selections, beautiful floral displays, entertainment options and a unique menu specifically designed for you. Your celebration may include Champagne on arrival, formal sit-down lunch, a canape or an evening buffet. We provide menu tastings to ensure your meal makes a lasting impression.
Registered for civil wedding ceremonies, Kuti’s Royal Pier can be the venue both for your formal ceremony and celebration afterwards.
Your wedding venue
Opened by Princess Victoria (just before she became Queen) in 1833, The Royal Pier has seen many facelifts and changes since its build. It would hold dancing and exhibitions right up until the Great War. With its distinctive iconic Georgian architecture, its beautiful white façade and the grand dome referred to it as the “wedding cake’’ has remained a familiar part of the local landscape ever since.
Re-opened in August 2008, Kuti’s Royal Pier is now home to the Royal Thai Pier on the ground floor and the Gatehouse Grill on the first floor, a stunning venue for dining, events, and parties and a licensed venue for weddings and civil ceremonies.
Ceremony & Reception
You may choose the area most suitable for your guests and numbers. As we are able to offer many options over two spacious floors we suggest coming to have a look around to see what would be best for your requirements. We are open to every sensible suggestion; this is your venue for your very special day and we are committed to working with you without set boundaries to achieve a day that is perfect in every way.
Waterfront View Room
By far the most beautiful place to say your vows, with its Waterfront Terrace overlooking Southampton water showing off our waterside location at its best. Watch the stunning cruise liners coming in or simply enjoy the feeling of being by the sea creating a splendid setting for your photographs. If your guest numbers are between 40 and 70 then this is the room to use.
Rum Lounge
The Rum Lounge our new addition located on the first floor with its grand dome and floating chandelier houses a beautiful circular glass floor that looks through to the downstairs restaurant and is ideal for a drink reception before the wedding breakfast or evening celebration. Number of guests 20 -35.
Royal Pier Palace
The largest room in the building which can hold up to 100 guests includes a lounge bar that has been elegantly designed and offers luxurious surroundings and comfortable seating. The room also opens out to the Royal Pier Garden ideal for guests to enjoy tranquil and beautiful settings. The number of guests is 65 – 100.
The cuisine of your choice
With the recent addition of the Gatehouse Grill on the first floor of our venue, we can now cater for Western cuisine, Thai cuisine or a combination of Thai and Western cuisine, the choice is yours. If your preference is Indian cuisine our talented chefs will be able to design a menu to suit y

We went for the first time on 24/9/25 after the Boat Show and we were blown away by the whole experience. Better than any traditional Indian restaurant - bright, stylish, spacious, very clean & a real quality feel to the whole place, including the loos. We met the manager Amen who has got it running like a well oiled machine with the staff all really motivated and friendly. She speaks about 5 languages which caters for all staff and she’s only 24! Food was superb and plenty of it. Proper table cloths and cotton napkins. Wine list also very good. Overall, the value was exceptional - I would have expected higher pricing so this was a great find for us. Definitely going back.

Where do I start. Absolutely amazing. My brother had an issue with the order and they sorted it out with the upmost professionalism. Aman was such a massive help and should be very proud of the amazing place they are running. Biryani is absolute stand out full of flavour. The chicken tikka starter is awesome also and would recommend ! Garlic naan one of the best around. Would highly recommend these guys to anyone !

We ate here earlier in the week, and wow, what an experience. A huge cut above the usual Indian restaurant. The building is beautiful, and historic as it was the toll house for the pier. A very spacious dining room with beautifully presented tables. The menu is extensive, and the food is excellent. We tried the stuffed puri starter, which were a meal in themselves, and then the roasted venison and the water buffalo curries. Both were really tasty, and with plenty of meat in the dish. The meats were so tender that they literally fell apart as you tried to cut them. Service was attentive without being over-bearing. The prices were very reasonable, and I'd certainly eat there again if I lived locally. A really enjoyable experience.

Booked for my wifes Birthday on Friday 23rd January. So glad we did. Staying in Southamton for the weekend and never dined here before. What a fantastic place. The food was delicious and perhaps the best Indian food we have ever eaten. The atmosphere was good too and the staff so friendly and helpful especially Shankar who waited our table. An absolute asset. Next time we are in town we will dine with you again. 100 per cent recommend this place. Thank you again.
