Such a fabulous place to go to chill out. Our second visit. Couldn't fault a thing. The food in the restaurant was first class. And the staff are so friendly. Can't wait to return. Don't tell too many people tho!!!

A relaxing and fantastic break. We went for the NYE gala, booked extra treatments and stayed for the 2 whole days due to being able to use the facilities before check in and after check out. Staff were courteous and attentive without being overbearing. The NYE set menu was varied and exquisite with portion size being generous. A buffet breakfast was included and was fresh and warm. Lunch the next day was not included but the menu was reasonable with several choices. The room was clean and spacious enough considering we weren't in it much. The couples deep tissue massage, facial, and Swedish massage left us feeling spoilt and relaxed, one of the best experiences we've had. It was good value for money, and we shall definitely be returning again in the summer when we can take a walk in the well maintained grounds.

Just been for a 2 night/3 day stay with my wife. Been here a few times before but the last time was before Covid. Saw a few negative reviews recently so thought I'd post here. In short, we had a lovely stay. Arrived at 11am expecting our room not to be ready until 4pm, but it was ready straight away - bonus! The reception staff were nice and helpful and gave us all the info we needed. The spa area is good with a swimming pool, large jacuzzi, steam, sauna and salt rooms, showers and a plunge pool. The plunge pool wasn't working which was a shame but the showers have an "cold refresh" setting which worked well enough instead. The spa area didn't seem particularly tired or dated to us. Since our previous visit, the spa area was much busier. When we got there all the poolside beds were taken but people do come and go so you need to keep your eyes peeled for beds coming available - which they do. The restaurant was fab. We had 2 x breakfasts, 2 x lunches, 2 x dinners, plus an afternoon tea on our last day. All food was nicely presented and tasted great, and there was a good amount of choice. Serving staff were all pleasant and helpful - special shout out to Monica (breakfast and lunch) and Charlotte (dinner) really nice, cheery, and chatty servers. Some recent reviews have said that the staff were rude etc. but that is not the case now. When we walked into the bar the bar staff greeted us, and even the posse of housekeeping staff all said hello as they passed us in the corridor. I think maybe Lifehouse had some staff/training issues previously but I guess they are all sorted out now. We will be returning.

A nice overnight birthday getaway with friends. Friendly, helpful staff and delicious food. Down side was that the hydrotherapy pool was out of action and a little crowded poolside, with no available seating for us. The shower temperature in our room wasn't hot enough and part of my spa treatment was missed out. (mindful moments massage, no 'foot ritual').

Stayed over night with my wife with dinner and breakfast from Sunday to Monday. The spa area was beyond packed, reminded me of the Northern Line at rush hour. I counted over 70 people in the spa area. There were no beds free all day until late. It was fine for us, we quickly used the spa facilities and enjoyed some time upstairs overlooking the lake. The food was sensational. Dinner I had lamb pasta for starter. Trout mains was incredibly and the chocolate and vanilla cheesecake was superb for dessert. Very high quality breakfast too. The rooms were good, nothing amazing but a comfy bed and big TV. Would return but not on a weekend.
