Novotel Edinburgh Centre, Lyceum Suite

This is my third trip to the hotel for business, The beds are comfortable and I always sleep well. The breakfast is fantastic and appears to have improved even further with slightly more choice- Everything you could want. Gym is small but has enough basic equipment and staff are always helpful and friendly. Location is fantastic- can easily walk everywhere.

We had an amazing stay. We booked for a cot and sofa bed which were all present on our arrival. We also received a small gift as it was a weekend for my partner’s birthday. The room was great. The location was fantastic. The pool, breakfast and bar were brilliant. The staff were good and helpful. The only tiny nag would be that the room was very hot but it was a very minor issue and it would in no way stop me from recommending the hotel or staying again myself. I really don’t think you could do much better than staying at this hotels.

Staff were polite and helpful, room was a bit tired, particularly the carpet which looked like it needed a deep clean and the room was smaller than expected for 2 adults and 2 children. Some areas of the hotel looked poorly constructed (ground floor toilets and staircase and outside steps). Not sure if this is what we expected of a 4* hotel but as a plus, the room was cleaned to a good standard, the bar including the bar food was also good and as mentioned, staff were helpful.
