Wonderful insight into the lives of the well-to-do in Georgian Edinburgh. The guides stationed in each of the rooms expand on the history with all sorts of insights and anecdotes. Combines well with Gladstone's Land, the other NTS property, located in the Old Town.

Georgian era in Edinburgh is truly alive within these walls. Number 7 Charlotte square. Free with an NTS membership and a fun place to visit if you want to travel back to that time and even perhaps play dress up!

Excellent Georgian House, lovingly restored to former glory. One of the best. I would like to say a big thank you to the volunteer lady in the shop on Thursday as I was THAT customer with the marked down items! You had the patience of a Saint!

I spent longer here than expected. The whole visit was interesting, an informative introductory film, leaflets in the rooms, the in-room docents were friendly and full of extra nuggets. There is a shop. If you are a National Art Pass holder it is free.

Lovely experience, lots to see and several staff on each floor willing to talk about the items. I loved the medicine chest, tea caddies and the film. A great national trust venue
