Stunning hotel with amazing food and staff, booked an overnight stay here and everything was as expected, The room clean room, bathroom was good with high shower head pressure. General hotel areas were all spotless. everything was perfect. Slight note more than anything is that if you book a double room (2 x beds) there is a device between them BUT the blind has been removed, for us it wasn't too much of an issue but for some it might. If you plan to park in the attached QPark I'd recommend using the website to get a discount code. Finally breakfast was superb definitely worth the visit!

Stayed here for a one night getaway. Saturday night DJ in the bar, great atmosphere. We ate out so can’t comment on the restaurant. We stayed in room 323 which was right opposite the 3 lifts, very noisy at times. If the hotel isn’t full why do they assign rooms such as this to guests? Room was good size, comfy bed and not much sound from the road outside. Bathroom big. Malmaison are great wherever you are, just check your room location,

Great location but don’t feel the service reflects the price of the expectancy of quality. Receptionist was very abrupt and not helpful, we called in advance as the stay was for a birthday and we wanted the room decorated beforehand but were told they don’t offer anything. The phone in the room had some sort of gel on it, shower head had black mould, no tea bags in the room, parking is based on a pre booked basis but no email stating to prebook parking. Plus sides were the beds were a great size along with the bedding felt luxury, ample storage and dressing gowns a given in the room. Great location but doesn’t offer anything special which would make you want to stay or return.

As a group we have stayed at the hotel for two nights. We have been booked into standard rooms which looked a bit outdated in my opinion. The bathroom in particular looked bad. The kit is discolored and the bath and bath mat looked dirty. The laminating layer of the furniture was loose. A plus for the bed, which was wonderful. At first glance the hotel looks good, but if you pay attention to the details, it could use some renovation here and there. Bar and cleaning staff are friendly and professional, unfortunately this cannot be said about the front desk staff and the on-site "event manager". Due to internal miscommunication, we were forced to spend a whole day in the bar instead of offering a comfortable solution for your customers. There was little room for discussion or understanding of the situation. We would have preferred to see this differently

It was hard to find reception after parking in the Mailbox car park, some signs would have been nice. The room was ok. Breakfast was included in my rate but the hot menu was limited, with a ridiculously small continental selection, and tables crammed so close together it’s difficult to get in and out of your seat (and I’m a medium build person). No towels or water in the gym - this is the first time I’ve experienced this and I travel a lot. They have a reasonable selection of machines which was good for a hotel. Overall I expected so much more from this hotel given the rate. Only positive is location but there are much better central hotels in Birmingham.
