City Academy at 10 Herbal Hill is our new Flagship London venue offering easy access from Farringdon, Angel or Kings Cross.
The building, formerly a dance school, has 12 performing and creative arts spaces including dance studios with new flooring, natural light, high ceilings...and a purpose built theatre, roof-top terrace to come.
All spaces are available to hire from 8am seven days a week, subject to availability. Spaces range from small rooms for 1-2-1 coaching to studios for more than 100.
Located in the bustling neighbourhood of Farringdon and just 5 minutes from Exmouth Market and Leather Lane, City Academy is the perfect location to enjoy international street food from the weekday market. Unique gift shops, historic pubs and trendy bars make this area the
perfect spot for browsing before your event.
On the ground floor, Studio 2 is our biggest studio with high ceilings and beautiful natural light coming from both sides. Restored, original, wooden, sprung flooring perfect for partner dance and movement based activities. Enjoy the wall of full length dance mirrors with a wall-mounted ballet bar wrapped about the rest of the studio. Dimmable lights to create atmosphere. Neutral branding perfect for photoshoots and with the opportunity to project your own brand.
All studios come with Wifi, fully functioning PA systems. The overall building is serviced by security and our Front of House team (First Aid trained, AV efficient) to support you with your event at no extra cost.

If your hire of a space includes bringing children to the venue, you must let us know in advance and we will require a copy of your safeguarding policy. Children must be chaperoned by an adult within the building.

March 2024I enjoyed City Academy's dance classes. My Absolutely Beginner class just finished today.I have been thoroughly enjoying the experience. I especially would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Manuela, the tutor for the Absolutely Beginner’s class. Her meticulous approach to breaking down each move, including warm-ups, is incredibly helpful for us beginners. Her sense of humour, creative way to make us imagine the moves and encouraging words not only make the lessons enjoyable but also foster noticeable progress in our learning. Thus I just enrolled another lesson taught by Manuela. I am going to make it as a lifetime hobby. Thank you, City Academy. Thank you, Manuela.

March 2024Absolute Beginners Dance class with Manuela has been the best. I've learnt how to Try and stay in time, count and more importantly? Have Fun! Manuela monitors our progress and she is so much fun. The classes are so enjoyable. The staff (Ade) and Coco too are so lovely helpful kind professional and go above and beyond to assist where possible. The place has done wonders for my mental wellbeing.
