Finally stayed here after the hotel was closed to the public as it was a government quarantine hotel facility. Driving here from the M25 was easy and signposted once you arrive at T5! The hotel has underground parking and you can access the hotel reception with a lift or the stairs. The reception’s facade is gorgeous. Easily the most beautiful reception I’ve been to. The check in process was a tad complicated as we had a park-and-stay rate which seemed to make things slightly more complicated but not really a problem. The hotel also has a few shops and a Zen Garden which was nice to wander around for a few minutes. We stayed in the Superior King Room and was pleased with the room. The room was spacious and the bed was definitely bigger than a king! The bed was comfortable and the TV was a good size. The bathroom had a walk-in shower and a freestanding bath which was immaculate. The walk from Sofitel to T5 was all covered however you are required to take the lift to enter the terminal! I would absolutely recommend staying here especially if you’re flying from T5. No other hotel can compare for luxury or convenience of T5.

I stayed for one night in between two flights; I chose the hotel for its proximity to T5. While the hotel itself was gorgeous, and the staff very warm and friendly, I was shocked at some of the incompetence, and basic necessities that lacked during my stay. The lights in my room did not work properly, and I was surprised that there was no plug next to the bed for charging one's cell phone. The A/C was uncomfortably high, and when I inquired as to whether the hotel had extra blankets I was informed the hotel was full and so they did not. That is absolutely SHOCKING to me for a five star stay. The most troubling part of my stay though is the morning I was meant to leave, I called the reception and concierge for about 15 minutes and nobody picked up the line. I finally ad to go downstairs to request a luggage trolley in person and although there was only one woman being served in front of me (and two staff people) I had to wait an additional ten minutes. This was followed by the elevator not working and me getting stuck in between two floors for ten minutes. For the price paid I expect more. Finally the room service menu was limited with no fresh or healthy options.

Hotel is a modest notch above most airport hotels. Clean, modern and relatively convenient to Terminal 5. Signage to get there needs an upgrade. Like most things at Heathrow, a lot of walking is involved. Bathroom fixtures and lighting systems are incredibly confusing to use. Restaurant has a simple menu of standard American fare (burgers, pizza, etc.) not bad, but nothing special. If you need a decent place to sleep, this place fits the description!

Despite its location adjacent to T5 this hotel exudes class. From the moment of arrival down along a highly polished corridor from T5 you know you have not made an error. The room was spotless, the facilities excellent and the bed was a delight. In addition the staff without exception were polite and helpful. It is not cheap to stay here, but if you want to indulge yourself and have the convenience of T5 on your doorstep this is without question the place to be.

Attached to the side of Heathrow Airport T5, it's a perfect stop over when catching a flight in the morning (a five minute walk through a corridor to get to the tensile l terminal). Comfortable with all the typical amenities. The gym could be improved, though.
