Found just at the corner of Elgin Avenue and Lanark Road The Elgin is a 50-yard walk from Maida Vale tube station and 10 minutes from Paddington. There’s been a pub on this site for decades and at The Elgin we are proud to carry on the tradition of providing the best food, drink and service the area has to offer.

Over the last few years The Elgin has become one of the area’s leading destinations for birthday parties, engagement parties, corporate dos and wonderful wedding receptions.

As you enter the venue and take the stairs to the private first floor bar you are greeted with a unique and individual space packed full of character and local charm with exposed brick walls and ceiling high bay windows. Although the room has a great feel for it there is still scope for you to add your own individual personality to it with extra decorative touches.
With space for up to 80 people seated or 100 standing this private room can host a range of different party types for all occasions.

If, however, you want something just that bit bigger you could take over the whole venue and have space for over 230 people standing. Whether it’s your company Christmas do, a summer party or the wedding of the year, you can choose to use the venue however works best for you. Split the bar into dining upstairs and dancing downstairs or just keep the party going with a late-night extension to 2am and a DJ of your choice.

If you’re having a seated meal then our 3-course family-style feasting menu is the perfect way to enjoy a sociable meal where everybody gets to taste a little of everything. Or if you prefer to keep it more casual then our sharing boards of hearty finger foods, including Spiced Crab Toasts, Cheeseburger Sliders & Mini Chocolate Brownies are all perfect for easy eating with no cutlery required and we have a good selection of vegan and gluten free options too.

Spontaneously walked into this place and was surprised with how good it was! Great decor, casual vibes, and the food was good. This was my first meal in my first trip to London and it started off great! I got the pork belly and the cold brew negroni. I’m not the biggest negroni fan but the cold brew negroni was delightful.

I'm in love with The Elgin. I've been working for about 17 days in London, and I've been here 5 times in this stretch. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very close to Maida Vale tube. The place is dog friendly as well! The updated Spring Menu is fantastic. I'm a huge fan of the prawns/toast (so much butter!) and the lamb merguez (the spice with the thick yogurt is incredible!). Great beer selection. There are 3 seating areas with a small set of tables outside, the main floor and an upstairs, so lots of space. It's always busy, which is a great sign they are doing something right. I missed out on the Sunday roasts as I got there late both Sundays, but reviews and social media pictures of the various roasts look fantastic. I can't wait to return to London, it will be my first stop.

Lovely pub and restaurant just by Maida Vale station. Food is good, service is friendly and they have live music too. The only annoying thing, they don’t take cash / are cashless. When did it become a thing to not take cash?
