The Royal Observatory Greenwich makes an unforgettable setting for evening events, with its fabulous views across Greenwich Park to Canary Wharf. The Observatory’s historic Flamsteed House houses the elegant Octagon Room, a very rare interior designed by Sir Christopher Wren, originally used for observing the stars. With soaring ceilings and views over London, and featuring a portrait of Charles II, it is an ideal setting for high-profile corporate dinners and receptions.

The Royal Greenwich Observatory, accessed with the London Pass, offers a fascinating experience. Visitors learn a lot about the history of timekeeping, the challenges of navigation, and the development of clocks. The highlight is standing on the Prime Meridian, where you can be in both the Western and Eastern hemispheres simultaneously. Highly recommended for those interested in maritime history and the measurement of time.

An excellent place to visit. Not crowded, easy entrance to the site with a reservation. Free audio tour with your phone. Beautiful walk through the park to get to it.

Standing atop the hill in Greenwich Park, you’re at the prime meridian, where east meets west. The iconic Meridian Line runs through the courtyard, marking the starting point for global time. As you step into this celestial realm, you’re treading where time begins! 🌠🔭 The surrounding park offers lush greenery, serene pathways, and a sense of tranquility. Take a leisurely stroll and soak in the beauty.

I like the inside of the observatory. It was pretty interesting and had a large photo display of the skies taken by photographers. However, they charge £20 to enter the outside area where the prime meridian line is at, which I think is too pricy, especially if you visit with a large family. The park around the Observatory is pretty nice and offers scenic views.
