For me it was the best restaurant in Scotland. A very beautiful room and very elegant setting. The food was amazing and there was a big selection of dishes. The staff are lovely people who serve guests in multiple languages. Mrs. Beata gives great recommendations if you don’t know Scottish cuisine well. My must go next time in Edinburgh!

I cannot thank your staff enough for the excellent service they provided at our Golden Wedding celebration in the private dining room on Saturday. Lara, Ryan, Charlotte and Douglas, made sure everything went smoothly during our evening. The main menu, the childrens menu and the gluten free menu were ideal 👍 The food was amazing - fine dining when catering for a group of 24 cannot be easy. Both the quality of the food and the service were excellent 👌 Our family and friends were very impressed with Howies and I am sure there will be further bookings for Howies in the future! It helped that our 4 grandchildren were on their best behaviour 🤪! Many, many thanks once again to all those involved, for making this special occasion…special 🥂😷

Easy to book online and great location close to where we were staying (Princes Street Suites). The staff were very friendly. The restaurant is well laid out and decorated nicely. They follow all the correct covid guidelines too. The food was really good. Would highly recommend.

They were nice to find a table for us. We had started, main and desserts. I really lived the started that was probably my favourite. We had smoked salmon. Lovely presentation and it was definitely enough. Then we had pan roasted salmon with potatoes and some sauce. Very good. A bit pricey but they were really attentive and friendly Food was good as well.

Absolutely stunning meal. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Highly recommended. Service was excellent, will definitely visit again.
