Holiday Inn Haydock M6 Jct 23

We had a lovely one night stay here. We chose this hotel as it was close enough to walk to the races. The room was clean, spacious, & the air conditioning was fab! We ate in the evening & it was really good, as was the full English breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Plenty of parking & no charge for it!!

Great location although the Haydock Square roundabout confuses me every time! Staff friendly and welcoming. Good food. Rooms a little tired but it’s a good place to stay for local work/visits

My partner and I stayed here this weekend. We travelled up from London for Creamfields Festival which was located nearby. We called early morning to ask for an early check in, the man on reception desk on the phone said it wasn’t possibly very bluntly. I then said I understand but we would really appreciate if you could do anything you could for us and again in a rude manner he said it’s not possible. He wasn’t helpful at all and we definitely found him quite rude. We checked in at 3pm, the room was lovely and up to excellent standards of cleanliness. We had nothing to complain about with the room itself. It was superb. The next morning, we went downstairs for breakfast. This is when our experience went south. We paid £33.90 for 2 breakfasts from the buffet. We sat down and starting eating when we noticed that the sausages were of a very unusual texture. They were completely raw and slimy. We couldn’t eat anything else after that. We both immediately felt sick and went up to the room. We are now back in London and are very sick due to this. We are very unwell!!!! Overall, the hotel was super but you really do need to sort out the breakfast buffet so this doesn’t happen to anyone else again.
