Really lovely hotel! If you are like me and not used to anything above a 2 or 3 star then you will have the best time! Id give it 5 stars. The location is ideal a 3 minute walk from waverly station so you can't miss it. Super central and near other hotels and Touristy things! Check in they are very smily and friendly. Thanks pollina for great front of house welcome and explanations. The restaurant has a fantastic menu, so much choice for dinner and drinks. The pricing is a little on the higher side for me but the portions were excellent and the presentation was lovely! The staff in the restaurant were so friendly and attentive. I didn't get anyone's names but shout out to the lady with super dark hair and she was very petite. Haven't had breakfast yet but I've heard good things from reviews so I know it'll be fab. The room is absolutely lush and I've never had a coffee machine with pods. There is shortbread (a must try Scottish snack). It's super clean and so much room. Lots of light as well and decorated nicely. Love the lamps in birdcages! Big tv and loads of plugs for chargers! Shower is great and lovely towels etc. There is temperature control to make it cozy! Good storage for clothes and hangers. If I could give one negative (and it was super hard to find anything) id say like most hotels the walls are super thin (or it could be my hearing) as I can hear everything going on in the rooms beside me! That's not really anyone's fault hence why I give 5 stars! Reccomend you stay here and really good value for money!

A beautiful hotel, just a 3 minute walk from the train station. Its location is great, if you want to explore Edinburgh, as in 5-10 minutes you can get to the Christmas market or to the old town. The staff was very polite and helpful and the room was clean. At some points we could hear people in the room next to us or the hallway, but in general it was quiet.

The start wasn’t great as we were supposed to stay at a sister hotel but were told the week before that the hotel wasn’t ready. The hotel itself was clean, nice lobby and very welcoming front desk staff. The gym was very nice, especially for a European hotel. Location is great and close to many bars, restaurants and shops. Our room was overlooking an alley that had dozens of trash receptacles. Every morning around 7 am they would be moved and wake us up. We were on the third floor so the windows and walls are not very sound proof. That coupled with the construction next door made it very difficult to relax in the room. As we were checking out, Princess, the front desk manager apologized for moving us and provided us a complimentary breakfast. She was very understanding and kind and for that we are very appreciative. In summation, it is a decent hotel with great staff.

The location was great, few minutes walking from pretty much everything. The staff were great. The bathroom could be cleaner. I didn’t like my view at all, it was disappointing. There was construction work that starts early in the morning, extremely noisy and loud, didn’t have a restful sleep.

Good location with decent service. The rooms aren’t very nice for the price. Wallpaper falling off, carpet ripped up, most of the stuff don’t work(sink, heater, TV, toilet, etc). Disappointed with my room especially after paying £200+ and extra for a view just to be tucked away in a corner without any view. No notification that there would be ongoing construction all day/night. Safe to say we won’t use this hotel again. I’ve been to a hostel that is much nicer. 2 star hotel max only because of the location.
