Beautiful hotel and restaurant. 5☆ for service. Had dinner at 3 and got a taxi in from Edinburgh. Door staff opened taxi door and took coats . Went into yellow room as we were over 45mins early on valentines. Couple of cocktails that were delicious. All the staff were super lovely. I like how dogs were okay in restaurant and other areas. There was a cat that was a local resident that wasnt an issue to me and my partner (hes not much of a cat person but their always attracted to those people more so sat on him) he sat on us as we had a drink and was as friendly as a cat can be. Food was lovely and they automatically booked us a taxi back to the centre of Edinburgh. Overall really happy with the place. And absolutely gorgeous decor.

Our second trip to Prestonfield and even better than first time - when normally the magic has rubbed off a little. It hadn’t. Difficult to fault. Very unique maximalist Georgian/Rococo design, incredibly generous (extra water, crisps, truffles and more in the room). Friendly, helpful and professional staff. High quality everywhere, especially reflected in lovely new bathrooms. Rhubarb definitely part of the package too. Don’t hesitate!
