I haven't had any food here yet, but have enjoyed a few beers. Its a great place to stop in after a round of golf. If you are a fan of golf and its history, this is a great place to pop in and take it in. They will rent you gear to play a quick round at a fun course. Its a nice 2 mile walk and can be done in ~2 hours if you have some experience.

Swung by as we’d noticed the lighting on a walk through the meadows. My partner (who is trying to get into golf) had the first choice of venue. Furthermore, undoubtably the creamiest Guinness he’s had the past 4 years we’ve lived here in Edi. V refreshing to know that an unassuming quaint looking bar, also has young chaps that know their shiz. Moreover, clearly have good relations with regular patrons? (I believe I was privy to a convo before and was lovely to see). The space is crazily appealing and I didn’t even know its origin dating back to late 1800’s!! I don’t know your name, but defo a recognisable hospo managerial face behind the bar that clearly is working wonders here! Will be back for another pint and probably a hoodie👏🏼 didn’t have time for food therefore alas, I cannot rate :( If the fab staff find yourselves in that bar down Craig’s close, let us know where you work and you’ll get discount!

The Golf Tavern is a brilliant spot for a night out. The food is honest, simple and well-cooked – especially the fish and chips deal on Fridays, which goes perfectly with a pint. The venue itself is really nice and welcoming, great for meeting friends. Thursdays are always fun with the quiz, and there’s golf, darts, and even a pool table to keep everyone entertained. A proper gem for good food and a relaxed night out!

Advertised as having the rugby on and then had a band play instead. Burger was pathetic for an expensive £16. Staff seems alright. It's not their fault after all.
