All of our rooms enjoy natural daylight from floor to ceiling windows, black-out blinds for presentations, and sensory features such as walls of silver birch trees or a large scarlet circular table.
Each room is named after a fictional spy from British film or TV, and contains a collection of the spy curiosities (fencing masks, chemistry sets, crossbows and black boxes) to match. South Place hotel can become your personal playground, where you and your guests can eat, drink and be merry.
Featuring classic, neutral décor, these versatile spaces are the perfect blank canvas for your unique vision. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the rooms with natural light, highlighting the elegant dark wood paneling and creating a warm, inviting ambiance. The combination of polished wooden floors & delicate cream organza curtains sets the stage for a sophisticated dining experience. Purdey & Steed can comfortably host up to 100 guests for a seated dinner or ceremony, and up to 150 for a standing reception.

I wanted to thank the whole team for a fabulous stay at South Place Hotel, the Hotel Staff are extremely helpful the service superb, Fabio was Fabulous! and Sharif and the Event team helped me celebrate in style. Its a perfect hotel to stay in the city, and if you want to celebrate a special event they also have the facilities on site to host small groups to large parties.

We had an excellent stay in Saturday-Sunday. This hotel has excellent vibes and great service. Room was spacious, bed comfortable and we had the best night of sleep because it was so quiet and dark with the blackout shades. We made use of the gym facilities, which had everything we needed and was well maintained and spacious. The sauna was brilliant. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend the restaurant as well - top notch service with a smile. Great experience here.

The hotel is in a good location near many firms and public transport. The restaurant service was also great and the food provided was delicious. However: 1. Lack of healthy/fundamental food choices (e.g. oats, yogurt). In particular the room service catalog has a burger in it but not normal stuff you can eat for dinner without messing up your stomach. It is probably aimed for the less health conscious/older crowd. 2. The water heating in the bathroom was not responsive, making the water too hot to shower in. 3. The light system was unresponsive as well. 4. The curtains do not fully block the light from the opposite side of the street. For the price, you can find something much better. Did not feel like a 5 or even 4 star experience.
