Theme didn’t match decorations in venue. All staff was great.

I have been here on a number of occasions for conferences. It's well equipped, things seem to run smoothly and provide everything that you would expect. The lunches are good and this time had gluten free options for mains, but not desert. The cookies at breaks looked delicious though no no gluten free choice, so I had to settle for healthy, fruit option. They really looked after my waistline! The staff are friendly and helpful.

We recently held a large-scale event at this venue and unfortunately the experience fell well below expectations. From the outset, the venue team were difficult to work with, applying rules rigidly, including restricting access to spaces and lifts, in a way that felt unnecessarily obstructive rather than supportive of a professional event delivery. The most significant issue, however, was catering. We were charged for 300 delegates, yet attendance was just over 200, and the provision did not even meet that number. Food stations ran out while guests were still queueing, attendees were redirected between stations due to lack of food, and portion sizes were extremely limited. At one point, a guest even asked if food was being rationed. This was not an isolated issue and was a consistent theme throughout the lunch service. In addition, food was cold, plates were cold, and service was disorganised, with long queues and insufficient staff to manage flow. The impact on our event and reputation was significant. Our delegates and sponsors expect a high standard, and the experience on the day reflected poorly on us despite being outside of our control. Following the event, we raised these concerns formally. The response we received was dismissive and did not acknowledge the extent of the issues experienced. Overall, this was a disappointing experience and not a venue we would choose to work with again.
