With a refreshed look and feel, Opera Tavern is a buzzy and inviting tapas bar and restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden's theatreland. Downstairs, striking graphic prints by the likes of Ben Eine complement the stylish bar, counter seating, and communal table, with a warm and atmospheric first-floor dining space above. whilst a quick venture upstairs reveals a dining room decked out with polished plaster walls, a gold-leaf ceiling, and large sash windows to create an intimate space perfect for hosting a private get-together.

The team at Opera Tavern has pulled out all of the stops to provide guests with as authentic tapas experience as you are likely to find in the city. Iberico sourced from Spain accompanies thoughtfully sourced meats from around the country, whilst the wine list is made up of exclusively Spanish and Italian imports. There's also a strong list of spirits to choose from, with brandies, whiskies, and no less than ten variants of sherry available to guests. Perfect to stop in and enjoy a pre-theatre tipple, the location of the venue mirrors the quality of the food, drink, and décor to create an all-around stylish establishment.

Service was a great part of the lovely atmosphere. Delia especially made our visit effortless and relaxing. She was very knowledgeable on the food and beverages on offer. We came for a small bite to eat and a few drinks before our show at the drury lane theatre, and would definitely recommended.

Exceptional Service by Jose! We had a lovely dining experience, and a big part of that was thanks to our waiter, Jose. From the moment we arrived, he was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He made great recommendations, checked in just the right amount, and always had a smile on his face. You could tell he cared about making sure we had a good time. It’s rare to come across service this genuine Jose really went above and beyond. Thank you for making our evening so enjoyable!

The food we great and the location is in a fun neighborhood of London. There was a possibly Italian waitress who was amazing and so were Jose, Monica, and Delia. Honestly, the entire floor team was top notch and working together like an engine.

We redeemed our Groupon voucher this afternoon and had a great meal. Aaron was attentive and made us feel really looked after during our dining there. The lady was also great ( sorry we didn't get your name! ) The food was fantastic and there were no complaints. Would come again!
