Backing onto London’s best-known green space, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has the shopping mecca of Knightsbridge on its front doorstep. Inside, Heston Blumenthal’s two Michelin-starred Dinner has private dining space for 10, while the second in-house restaurant Bar Boulud can host private events for twice that number. Looking onto the royal parkland outside, the Ballroom and its terrace are set up for standing receptions. Other spaces include the Balfour Room, which has daylight flooding in and city views. The 17m swimming pool, fitness centre and spa are ideal places for letting off some post-event steam.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in September 2024, and I can’t recommend this venue highly enough. From start to finish, everything was seamless and absolutely stunning. Suites are spacious, light-filled, and perfect for getting ready with family and friends—ideal for both comfort and photography. Speaking of photography, the venue’s arrangement of a professional photography permit in Hyde Park was seamless, allowing for gorgeous couple portraits in the park without any logistical hassle. Something I very much appreciated! The Loggia, where the ceremony was held, is truly unique with its private entrance facing Hyde Park and a red carpet usually reserved for visiting royals. The combination of elegance, intimacy, and incredible attention to detail made the ceremony unforgettable. As the day progressed, the Loggia was transformed beautifully for the wedding breakfast, while the grand ballroom is available for larger celebrations. Everything ran so smoothly, from start to finish, and the attention to detail and hospitality of The Mandarin Oriental team is truly exceptional. Not to mention the food - wow! One very happy (and full) photographer indeed! Whether you’re planning an intimate wedding or a grand celebration, the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park is an outstanding choice. It is my 1st time to travel London for performance. The environment of the hotel is very nice. The staff is very kind and willing to answer all your questions. They provide a good transportation service to me , thanks their help. The high quality of restaurant not only the breakfast but Also the lunch. I recommend all to come here to Enjoy a refresh hotel. If you are Mandarin oriental member, you can get more privileges that other travel agents cannot provide to you.

We loved, loved this hotel. Our junior suite was beautiful and a welcome respite at the end of a busy touring day. Housekeeping was impeccable. The staff could not have been kinder and went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. We were traveling with a three year old and they were very sweet to her, as well. The concierge was pressed into service numerous times for dinner reservations and he always made good suggestions. All in all, our week in London was a joy and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel helped make it so!
