A great hotel, experience, location, and serv ice, all around 5 stars. Very impressed with it for the price in such a central location. Views amazing as well. Special shoutout to Sezai at the bar for a wonderful experience the first night. Very knowledgeable behind the bar, and took us on a tour of several fine spirits and concoctions. I see I'm not the only one that finds it weird that the hotel doesn't allow tips based on other reviews, and while the hotel says they take feedback seriously, given how many times its been mentioned, its clear management does not. I would say that's the only drawback. But, just bring cash to take care of these wonderful people, as clearly their corporate does NOT!

We came here for our Honeymoon! We had a lovely stay! The staff was very sweet and decorated our room and was very accommodating with questions and requests. The location is perfect! We were able to walk to many attractions or hop on a bus or metro across the street. There is also a convenience store two doors down. The room was great, bed was comfy, and the kitchen was perfect for us. Big room for London! We will be staying here again next time we come to London!!

Great stay! Always clean and staff friendly and helpful. Add an example, we lost the locks to our luggage. While we were checking in Reception called maintenance who saved the day with metal cutters, all with a great attitude. Close to North Lambeth station ( you can see it once you walk out the front door) and bus stops. Walking distance to the Eye and Boat docks ( the catching City Tours boat taxi). Also next to the entrance is a conscience store, souvenir shop, grocery story, coffee shop, pastry shop, and a chicken place that I also highly recommend. Next time the Denver Broncos play in London, this will be where we stay. The room was small work no good place to store large suitcases, but it did have a queen bed, which was a big priority with us. Breakfast was pricy at over $15 a person, but it was good and convenient.

Great location and lovely staff – cleanliness could be improved The Marlin Waterloo Hotel has a lot going for it. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the London Eye and ideal for exploring the city. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming, which we truly appreciated throughout our stay. We had a fairly large upgraded room with a kitchenette, which felt almost like a small apartment – a real bonus in London. The kitchen was well equipped, and the bathroom was a good size, even featuring a built-in speaker connected to the TV, which we found quite interesting. However, the rain shower was quite dirty, so we decided not to use it and opted for the handheld shower instead. The two TVs in the room were also a bit tricky to use – the remote controls didn’t fully match, and we had to unplug the power cable to switch them off. When it comes to cleanliness, there’s definitely room for improvement. Housekeeping only comes every two days, which we found unusual for a hotel of this standard. On our first day, we also noticed an old piece of chewing gum stuck to our bedside table – we reported it, but unfortunately it was never removed during our stay. With more thorough and precise cleaning – including corners, surfaces, and less visible areas – this hotel could easily earn five stars. Cleanliness is all about attention to detail and consistency. The breakfast buffet was fine, just what you’d expect from a city hotel. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, and despite a few shortcomings, we would recommend the hotel and would consider returning. (I’m not posting photos, as I believe the cleanliness could still be improved, and this does not affect the overall impression of the hotel.)

The location is great, right next to a main station, a bus stop, a café, and a supermarket. The rooms are spacious and bright, but the cleanliness is not good. During my 8-night stay, my room was cleaned only twice, even though I requested cleaning. The furniture is quite old, and there were no slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste, bathrobe, or lotion like other hotels of the same level usually provide. The price is extremely high compared to the service, as the service and facilities in many three-star hotels are actually better. Sezai Can is an exceptional bartender — very friendly, attentive, and skilled. He made the best cocktails and truly elevated my experience at the bar. 🍸✨
