My recent stay (7 nights with breakfast) at the Dorsett hotel in London was truly delightful, primarily thanks to the exceptional reception and service I received from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I felt incredibly welcome. A special shout-out goes to Twinkle, the receptionist, who was an absolute star! She greeted us with such a genuine, welcoming smile every single time, and her cheerful demeanor even extended to our checkout. It really made a difference and added a wonderful personal touch to our experience. The breakfast offered at the hotel was also a highlight – truly delicious and a perfect start to each day of exploring. While the room was quite small, it was clean and perfectly functional for a city trip where you spend most of your time out and about. Given the fantastic service and prime location, the room size was a minor compromise. Speaking of location, it couldn't have been better! The hotel boasts an ideal spot right next to a bus stop, making it incredibly easy to get around. Buses from there seemed to go almost everywhere we wanted to visit in London, which was incredibly convenient. Overall, despite the compact room, the warm service, tasty breakfast, and unbeatable location make this hotel a top choice for anyone visiting London. I'd happily stay here again!

I had a great stay at this hotel! The room was clean, and had everything I needed, though it was on the small side and because of the blackout curtains, it was a bit hard to wake up. That said, it was still very comfortable. I especially want to mention Victoria at the front desk. She was so kind and helpful throughout my stay. Her warm and professional attitude really stood out. She even helped me upgrade to a larger room which made my stay even better. I’d happily stay here again!

Would not recommend. Old and dirty carpet and furniture, poor service. Had to change rooms three times due to bad room smell and not working air conditioner. Stuff is friendly but not competent. Waited over twenty four hours to get coffee packets in the room after talking to a housekeeping service, front desk, and a manager. Good location, walking distance to the metro station and Westfield shopping center. Will choose a different hotel next time.

My partner booked a 2 night stay here while we attended an event nearby. This was a gift so we were hoping this hotel would be as great as the photos and ‘4 stars’. Upon arrival (7pm) we were met with friendly staff but were told to wait 5 minutes for our room and were given 2 free drinks vouchers for the bar. After waiting nearly 25 minutes, we were finally given our room key, unsure as to why we had to wait. Sadly, we were very disappointed with our room, it did not look the same as the pictures they provide online, huge crack in the bathroom mirror, tired looking, grubby mirrors, worn dirty carpets, and with no window to the outside it felt rather claustrophobic. So we headed back down to reception as this was not how we thought a £450 stay should be. Dante on reception was excellent, he listened to our concerns and offered us another room. The new room was much better, looked like the photos and felt more ‘sleek’. Unfortunately though the air con was not working, so they had put a portable air con unit in our room, which had leaked water all over the floor. After a long day of travelling and it being nearly 9pm by the time we’d sorted out our room situation, we decided not to report this to reception as we were grateful to have a new room. However, for the two days we had to walk around the big wet patch on the carpet from the air con unit, which did not dry as there is no air flow or any windows to open. Overall, despite these problems, the bed was very comfortable and clean, shower was powerful and everything in the room was practical. Also loved the Elemis products in the bathroom! Staff were wonderful, cannot comment on behalf of the restaurant and food as we ate elsewhere.

Room was perfect with clean sheets and comfortable bed and utilities. The sink drainage needs work and was bothersome. Breakfast is served till 10.30, and good, but sad part is they remove it by about 10.20. My niece missed her breakfast because she came down at 10.20. Abdel the chef refused to understand nor stop the staff from taking the food. Ideally the entry should be stopped at 1030 hrs and guests already in should have the opportunity to complete their breakfast- perhaps more courteous to ask the guests already sitting if the breakfast can be removed. Both were lacking. Abdel when requested was a bit rude and loud besides was heard using the F-word in undertones which was unacceptable. Hotel administrators may want to check on this.
