We recently hosted our daughter’s birthday party at the Hilton DoubleTree and booked the Albany Room — and the experience was absolutely wonderful. From the start, Tammy was incredibly helpful, highly responsive, and always clear and prompt in her communication, which made the entire booking process smooth and stress-free. All the staff were professional, friendly, and welcoming, and the facilities were excellent. The room was clean, well-maintained, and provided the perfect setting for our celebration. This was our first time booking an event space, but it definitely won’t be our last. I’ve already recommended the venue to several friends and will continue to do so. On top of everything, it was excellent value for money given the quality of the venue and service! Many thanks to Tammy and the whole team for making our daughter’s birthday so special!

We had an event which went very well. Things that could have been improved upon was 1. The carpet had not been hoovered from the night before so we had to get that done in the morning just before the event started 2. Toilets in the event area should have been monitored and cleaned throughout the day. Other than that, it was a great success. In terms of front desk and first impressions on arrival, Mohammed is definitely the star of the show, he is such a delight, is extremely professional, very friendly and always happy to help.

Rooms were okay, but they had no air conditioning. We had to bring in 3 fans, and it was still quite hot. In the buffet, My dad got cling film on a piece of his fruit. Weird grime on the plastic cups. Location was bad, buying a package with the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour, the hotel was 8 miles away from the tour, and even had to drive on a motorway. Overall, I would advise spending money elsewhere. Someone else on the trip with me got almost no sleep because of the heat.

To be quite frank this room was not worth the misery staying in it. Upon arrival on a 31° day, we were greeted with a sign mentioning that because the rooms were so hot the hotel would provide fans for the "comfort of our guests during their stay", me and my partner got into our assigned room, saw that they have AC available, went to turn it on and it didn't work. We called the front desk to ensure it wasn't user error, to which we were told 'the AC is not working across the whole of the building'. We had to request an extra fan up to the room as we are on the second floor and its nothing short of a green house there. With absolutely no way of cooling us or the room down. It's really disappointing to not only experience this, but then to read reviews from people who have stayed at this hotel previously, some going as far back as 3 months ago, for a response saying and I quote "rest assured, we have addressed the issue with our maintenance team to ensure that our guests have a comfortable environment during their stay"... Or a response to a review from 4 weeks ago stating "your feedback about the air conditioning is valuable to us. Rest assured we are actively working to address this matter promptly to ensure a comfortable environment for all our guests" These responses are genuinely shameful to read when 4 weeks later and especially 3 months later of this being a persistent issue, NOTHING, has in fact been actively worked on to ensure the comfort of their guests. Shame on you for having people who spend their hard earned money on something that is far from being up to standard.

Hotel looks great, good parking and location. Was greeted at reception and enjoyed the nice warm cookie on checking in. I swiftly got to the room which was a decent size, however it was boiling. No air conditioning! Opened a window fully and put the fan on which I found in the room and went downstairs to complain. I was told there is no air conditioning in the hotel! It’s 2025! Wake up Hilton. It’s a basic provision in a modern hotel and my wife is suffering with the menopause at the moment and had she been with me wouldn’t have tolerated that heat and we would have been looking for another hotel, despite the hour as it’s 10pm. Simply not good enough in a very competitive market to score a massive own goal by not making your guests comfortable with climate controlled rooms. I hope I get some sleep
