The Counting House, located on Cornhill in EC3, is a truly magnificent pub that perfectly captures the spirit of London’s financial district. Set in a beautifully restored former bank, this Fuller’s establishment combines grand Victorian architecture with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The interior is breathtaking — soaring ceilings, ornate chandeliers, polished wood, and marble columns create a sense of history and elegance that few pubs can match. The bar offers an excellent selection of cask ales, craft beers, fine wines, and spirits, with attentive staff always ready to recommend a drink to suit your taste. The menu is equally impressive, featuring traditional British dishes prepared with quality ingredients — from hearty pies and fish and chips to seasonal specials that elevate classic pub fare. Whether you’re visiting for a leisurely lunch, a post-work pint, or a Sunday roast, The Counting House delivers consistently good food and service in an unforgettable setting. Its central location near Bank Station makes it an ideal meeting spot for professionals and tourists alike. With its blend of heritage, comfort, and character, The Counting House isn’t just a pub — it’s an experience that embodies the best of historic London hospitality.

We visited the Couting House for a drink while doing the usual tourist thing in the City of London. The staff were friendly and the drinks prices no worse than any other London pub. The interior was magnificent with a large island bar, polished wooden staircase, mosaic tile floor, very high ceiling with chandeliers and a glass dome roof as well as a mezanine balcony, upstairs dining and several side rooms as well as a terrace at the rear for smokers. There were lots of historical pictures and adornments to look at. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Visited this stunning pub with my parent this afternoon on our way to Leadenhall Market, and we were both blown away! The interior is absolutely gorgeous, blending traditional pub charm with breathtaking high ceilings and historic architecture. It feels like stepping into a piece of London’s past while still being cozy and welcoming. The atmosphere was perfect, and we loved every moment. Highly recommend stopping by for a drink or a meal if you’re in area!
