About Venue
Step back in time to a different era with our flagship cinema. Rebuilt in 1966 Curzon Mayfair is one of the best surviving and most elaborate cinemas of the post-war period, with its beautiful 60s-style art deco ceiling in the main auditorium. Located amongst the galleries, bars and restaurants of Mayfair, this cinema is a popular venue for red carpet premieres and high profile events. The Grade II listed building houses the breath-taking and unusual
auditorium with a large screen (an impressive 11 metres), a stage perfect for presentations, and two Royal Boxes that add that touch of sophistication and exclusivity to help your event sparkle.
The stylish bar – with its clever sliding screen to ensure your privacy – and a further, more intimate screening room, mean our Mayfair cinema is the perfect venue to impress your guests.
We have very good relationships with a number of local venues should you require a reception venue with a larger capacity than our bar can facilitate.

What a unique cinema dating back to the 1930’s! The interior stands out from all traditional cinemas, and Curzon offers two screens for watching movies. Went to see Project Hail Mary (screen 2), and loved the comfy seats! Very different ambiance in comparison to the main screen. Ask one of the staff to tell you a bit more about the history of the cinema because it’s fascinating and it’s a shame it may close soon :( Special thanks to Barron for giving us some cool information and facts about Curzon!

Attended a 25th anniversary screening of Amores Perros which featured a live in person Q&A with director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu beforehand. This was my first time seeing the film and I was blown away. The director was very interesting to listen to, and the experience has opened up me to new mexican cinema. From the advertised time of 6pm it was a hour wait until the Q&A due to book signings. It would be helpful if the actual start time could be explicit. Very nice venue, and will look forward to future events.

I love Curzon Cinema and go regularly. But in hot summers the Mayfair branch is a no-go with either broken or almost non-functional AC. It was consistently 28C during an evening screening today with outside temperatures being around 26C. The staff were very kind and refunded the ticket in full but I will now stick to branches with modern AC systems in the summer.

Potentially, this is a nice cinema - good location, nice intimate bar area, beautiful mid-century modernist auditorium. But, and this is a big BUT, the sound system is knackered. Whether the speakers need replacing or the whole sound system needs a rebuild, I couldn’t tell at Devil Wears Prada 2 yesterday. If the management read this, it needs the investment now because the sound was woolly and much of the dialogue was lost, especially when underpinned by the soundtrack.
