Dartmouth House, home of The English-Speaking Union, is an elegant mansion set in the heart of London’s Mayfair, providing the perfect setting for hosting events.
The House can hold conferences, board meetings, training events, seminars and lectures as well as elegant private dining functions, awards dinners, summer and Christmas parties, private events and weddings.
Located just minutes from Berkeley Square, Bond Street and Green Park, our West London location is perfectly situated.

The Churchill Room is a stunning and lavish venue, perfect for dining, meetings, canapés, drinks receptions, or even as a ballroom for dancing.

Named in honor of the longstanding connection to Churchill College, Cambridge, and Winston Churchill, this room, once the house's ballroom, showcases floor-to-ceiling antique Louis XIV walnut paneling. It boasts a beautifully ornate fireplace, enhancing the intimate ambiance of the space.

Beyond its versatile uses, the Churchill Room serves as our licensed civil ceremony space for up to 100 guests. Additionally, it holds a license for amplified sound, making it the ideal venue for lively and celebratory gatherings.

I had my wedding here this summer and it was the best experience of my life. Melinda and Roman took care of absolutely EVERYTHING - I didn't have to lift a finger on my wedding day. They coordinated across all my vendors, helped all of our guests, and every transition was seamless. Melinda was so thorough in preparing for the wedding that we felt completely at ease leading up to the day. I cannot recommend Melinda and Roman enough - there were last minute requests / changes and they were so accommodating. The venue itself is spectacular - the courtyard is as beautiful as it looks in the photos and all of the rooms have so much character. The food was consistently prepared and absolutely delicious. I only wish I had been able to eat more of our canapés! I still dream about the scallop poppers. The team did an amazing job ensuring everyone's glasses were always filled and that everyone had enough water at the table. The service was phenomenal. Dartmouth House put on a better wedding than I could have ever imagined - I wish I could relive it everyday! Thank you Melinda, Roman, and to the entire team at Dartmouth House! You gave me the wedding of my dreams!

The wedding venue was absolutely beautiful, and I really enjoyed playing there. The staff were friendly, professional, and very supportive throughout the event. Everything was organised perfectly and the atmosphere was wonderful. The only downside was that the event had to finish quite early at 10:30 pm, and there was also a sound limit in place. Apart from that, everything else was excellent.
