Hire provides exclusive use of the Churchill Room (seating up to 70) with standard furniture and AV.

Does the venue provide catering, or can I bring my own food and drinks?

In-house caterers Graysons deliver all food and drink; external catering is not allowed. Please contact the host for menus.

Can I decorate or brand the venue for my event?

Décor and branding are welcome. Please confirm any large installations in advance.

Is the venue accessible, and does it have parking or nearby transport links?

The room is on the first floor with lift access, and the venue is near Bond Street/Green Park, with pay-to-park options nearby.

What is the venue’s pricing structure e.g. minimum spend, dry hire, or package options?

Dartmouth House, home of The English-Speaking Union, is an elegant mansion set in the heart of London’s Mayfair, providing the perfect setting for hosting events.
The House can hold conferences, board meetings, training events, seminars and lectures as well as elegant private dining functions, awards dinners, summer and Christmas parties, private events and weddings.

The Churchill Room is a stunning and lavish venue, perfect for dining, meetings, canapés, drinks receptions, or even as a ballroom for dancing.

Named in honor of the longstanding connection to Churchill College, Cambridge, and Winston Churchill, this room, once the house's ballroom, showcases floor-to-ceiling antique Louis XIV walnut paneling. It boasts a beautifully ornate fireplace, enhancing the intimate ambiance of the space.

Beyond its versatile uses, the Churchill Room serves as our licensed civil ceremony space for up to 100 guests. Additionally, it holds a license for amplified sound, making it the ideal venue for lively and celebratory gatherings.

We had the most incredible experience celebrating our wedding at Dartmouth House, and we are so happy with how everything turned out. A special thank you to Charlotte, our coordinator, who was absolutely incredible throughout the entire process. She was always available, incredibly quick to respond, and always happy to answer any questions we had. She was clear, organised, professional and, above all, so kind and supportive. Charlotte’s experience and expertise were invaluable. She gave us thoughtful advice throughout the planning process, which made us feel confident and reassured that everything was in the best possible hands. Our wedding day was truly incredible.
