We reserved a vip table and an afterparty with a deposit in advance. Great experience, amazing sound system. Excellent service, I would especially like to praise the person who took care of our table. There was a small problem when entering the afterparty, but the management quickly solved it.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME if i could give it 0 stars, i would. my friend and i went to tape london this halloween hoping to have fun, as one does on halloween but what we instead experienced, was quite the opposite. to start, it was one of the most unorganised events i had ever seen, really disappointing as you would think a club in mayfair, of all places, would think to prepare for one of the biggest nights of the year. We were ushered into an incredibly long line, which did not move at all , and were left with no explanation as to when we would be able to go inside. (we arrived at the clubs opening time , 11 , as advised by one of the promoters, but no one could enter until almost 12..?) . it seemed that the only way to move from the line was if a man walking past would think you “appealing” and take you to the priority queue, which shows just how misogynistic this club is. After a VERY long time, staff came around to scan our qr codes on the app, and it seemed that there was no problem… until we got to the front of the queue, where it was again scanned, and we were denied entry. reason being; we didn’t have “enough points” on their app. i mean seriously, what kind of club is this?? this happened to practically everyone around us , and when we were in the square trying to plan where we would go instead, we were screamed at by security for being “in the way” , in a public place. mind you . my view is that they didn’t want onlookers to see just how elitist and selective it is. Lastly, and i think one of the most horrific events, was that a woman in the queue, obviously faint from waiting for hours, collapsed, and when her friends called desperately for help, they were ignored . when someone had to go and DRAG security over to help, they took a look at her, shrugged, and left.???? then she collapsed again. OBVIOUSLY needing medical attention, and the security that has finally arrived again just stood around her as if she were an art exhibition. I can hardly imagine how she must have felt in that moment. To put it plainly, it was a train wreck of a night. Tape, Do Better.

I don’t understand why they have a DO ALLOW section saying they allow fresh out of box trainers- this does not distress that the out of box has to be “designer or high end” which they require. Very misleading. They also allow heels however this contradicts the high end idea - as my friend was accepted in primark heel when I cannot be accepted in plain black smart trainers with no branding on show- and like said are “ out of box” brought recently and not dirty. ?? Disappointing when you travel far from outside London and I promote clubs myself, will not be promoting this club, they seem to make up the rules on the spot. However I had a fun night in reign club, which accepted my trainers at a heels only event going above and beyond at a high standard.

I was genuinely excited to spend my Halloween night at Tape — I was on the guest list, followed all the promoter’s instructions, and even arrived early (11 PM sharp). Despite that, my friend and I stood outside for over two and a half hours only to be told at 1:30 AM that entry now required “500+ points” due to “too many people.” The club opens at 11 PM — so unless I was meant to queue before doors opened, this policy is absurd. It’s shocking how little respect is shown to guests who make the effort, spend money beforehand, and follow directions. Tape might have social media hype, but in reality, it’s all smoke and mirrors — long lines, poor communication, and staff who seem more interested in gatekeeping than hospitality. I’ve had far better nights at smaller, lesser-known venues that actually care about creating a good experience rather than maintaining a fake image of exclusivity. Save yourself the time and frustration — there are plenty of other clubs in London that deliver real vibes without the nonsense.

Utterly rude staff and not worth the wait to get in, even with a guestlist. They refused entry to my female friend, claiming she was wearing “day shoes,” whatever that means. She wasn’t wearing sneakers or anything inappropriate, yet men in actual sneakers were allowed in without question. Completely inconsistent, discriminatory, and unprofessional.
