Also known as The Home of The Kinks it is now a sophisticated and relaxing eatery, serving a variety of delectable Mediterranean dishes. The Clissold Arms, established in 1850, is a family owned local Gastropub with a longstanding history within the community. Our journey began with a passion for quality ingredients and a desire to create a menu that reflects our love of Greek cuisine, enjoyed in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

At The Clissold, we don’t just serve food and drinks; we create experiences. All our function rooms are licensed for live music, except the beer garden which we only allow background music so as not to disturb the neighbours. This elegant space has a capacity of 80 seated guests. It is licensed for music, be a DJ, band or a playlist of your own. It has direct access to our patio garden, so that your guests can enjoy both an indoor and outdoor space during your event. This room can inter-connect with The Shed, should more space be required.

In January it was my 60th birthday and we decided to use the ‘Terrace room and Shed’ for the dinner party for our 50 guests. We started our research and were helped tremendously with support from Bianca, Costas and Kyriakos, Dimitris, Nicos who also gave us good advice and couldn’t do enough for us. On the day we arrived way before our guests to set up some decorations, the room was already prepared by the Clissold staff and it looked amazing, with tables set up immaculately, mood lighting, and a bar set up in the room. Our guests started to arrive, and they immediately said what a lovely room. The night ended on a high, with guests complementing the food, venue and what a good time they had after being so well looked after. We would highly recommend The Clissold Arms for dinner, drinks, parties or any event and which they cater for all. Simon L.
