Hackney Town Hall offers sumptuous grandeur for weddings, receptions and conferences in a sought after Art-Deco style.
The graceful curved staircase leads to the beautifully restored Assembly Hall with a vast array of original features including the imposing 1930s chandeliers and original sprung dance floor.
Excellent AV support, along with dedicated events management is included in the hire cost, both elements ensuring a professionally run event and memorable day.
Accommodating up to 550 standing for a reception, the large main space of the Assembly Hall can then be broken down into three smaller rooms, with the original floor-to-ceiling partitions, great for hosting more intimate events.
For business clients, both the entire space and three smaller spaces are equipped with state of the art AV facilities and conference style furniture. The adjoining Bridgetown Bar, decorated in dark wood and marble fixtures, evokes the feel of an exclusive gentlemen’s club. This space is perfect as a private bar or VIP green room.

We got married at Hackney Town Hall in the Committee Rooms, and everything was perfect from start to finish. The entire process was seamless, from the initial preparations and planning through to the welcome on the day, the ceremony itself, and even the farewell afterwards. The team was exceptional: professional, competent, organised, and genuinely kind. They made us feel supported and at ease throughout, which made the whole experience even more special. One of my favourite London wedding venues to photograph. Hackney Town Hall has character in abundance - from the striking architecture outside to the art deco interiors and that beautiful sweeping staircase. All the rooms have their own identity, and there’s so much variety in the spaces. A truly special venue, and always a pleasure to work at.
