A little gem. Literally 5 min walk from Paddington, so easy to get to (and leave your luggage after/ before your train). Was upgraded to a family room / superior, so had dressing gown, slippers, bigger bed, free mini bar (that just contained coke, juice, milk and water), Nespresso machine. Room was comfortable and stylish. Bathroom came with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and moisturiser, plus little packets of emergency supplies (shaver kit, vanity pack etc.). They also seemed to genuinely follow their environmental/sustainable messaging (recycling bins, little single use plastic, and loved the little glass bottle of milk in the fridge for tea / coffee etc). Only thing was you could hear the humming of the underground, and my room was in the basement, so could hear doors being opened, cleaners doing their jobs in the rooms around me. Breakfast was really good: made to order hot breakfast plus help yourself cold options (yoghurt, cereals, pastries, toast, cold meats etc). Staff were all friendly and professional. Definitely will go back.

We had a wonderful 5 days vacation at the mercure hotel! Prime location- close to lots of sights by foot or by public transportation. Check in and out went smoothly with a great service by the reception team. Standard room is well designed, comfortable bed, shower and planty of closet room for clothing and suitcases storage. Closet door was a bit jammed but we could still use it. The room is cleaned daily and the refilled mini bar is a nice treat after a long day out. Breakfast is recommended and has all you need to start the day: coffee, eggs, fruits and pastries. Overall we had a great time and would love to come back again!

A lovely birthday surprise during my business trip! I stayed here for a quick business trip, and the staff made my birthday feel special with a surprise cake in my room. It was such a nice touch after a long day of meetings! The service was efficient yet very warm. It’s the perfect place to stay if you want professional service with a personal feel. Highly recommended for business travelers in London. Thanks again for the hospitality!

Check-in was very smooth and the staff were extremely helpful. I was even offered a room upgrade, although unfortunately there was no availability. The team throughout the stay was attentive, friendly, and always willing to assist with anything I needed. The standard rooms are quite small. The doors close loudly and the floors can be a bit creaky. Overall, I wasn’t fully satisfied with the room in terms of space and comfort especially for a business trip though considering the price performance balance, it was acceptable. The breakfast area is lovely, and the hotel partners with an Italian restaurant for the morning service, which is a nice touch. However, during my four-night stay (three breakfasts), I noticed that the restaurant manager seemed quite harsh in her interactions with the staff, which was uncomfortable to observe. In general, I was satisfied with my stay, mainly thanks to the kind and attentive hotel team. However, the standard rooms may not be ideal for business travel.

Came here for a night in London due to the proximity to Paddington station — it was okay. The room made a good first impression. On the second look, you'd see some stains in the bathroom they didn't quite clean, which also smells really funny, most likely the drain, and the window blinds don't work properly. As in most English houses, the walls are thin as paper, so don't expect a deep sleep. Cleaning started around 9am, so I had the sound of a vacuum as my alarm. However, the bed was really comfortable, the minibar was included and there is decent space, even in the cozy rooms.
