I went to the Magic Circle variety night and honestly didn’t even realise they did public shows, but it makes total sense now. It was a mix of pros and amateurs, seven acts plus the host keeping things moving. I sat right at the front without thinking… big mistake. I got dragged into the final act, and yep — he guessed my card. Would’ve been awkward if he didn’t. For what you pay, it’s an absolute bargain. Drinks are cheap, the vibe is great, and during the interval you can wander around a few of the rooms. One of the performers was even doing close‑up sleight‑of‑hand for people just hanging around, which was class.

I went to see Secrets of the Magic Circle last night, featuring the new show from David Penn, the tech magician, and it was honestly fantastic from start to finish. The whole experience is a brilliant opportunity to explore the Magic Circle itself, watch some incredible magic, and see it all up close and live. Being treated to world‑class magic from the legendary Michael Vincent in such an intimate setting was something really special. This was followed by some fascinating and very entertaining history from Marcus Morgan, which added a lot of depth and context to the evening. Then it was time for the headline show of the night: David Penn’s Magical Robot show. David bills himself as the “tech magician” and that’s exactly what you get – a clever, seamless blend of technology and magic. The show feels modern and original, with some genuine “wow” moments that had the whole audience reacting. It’s the kind of show that appeals to all ages – magic fans, tech geeks, families – everyone. I won’t give any spoilers, but I highly recommend you go and see this show, and experience the whole Secrets of the Magic Circle visit. With two shows a day, it’s a fantastic day or evening out and works really well for families with different ages or anyone travelling into central London to visit the HQ of magic, the house of 10’000 secrets ! Highly recommended – 5 stars.

An astonishing evening with the kindest magicians and history all around you. This is a memorable experience and the people performing and working there make sure to make this happen. This experience is easily worth triple the ticket price. I went to Secrets and then was fortunate enough to be invited back to see close up magic. I also had the wonderful opportunity to speak to many of the magicians who are so passionate and welcoming. The magicians are exceptionally talented. This is truly a craft they work at and it shows. Each magician you see will have their own performance style and tricks, there is great variety. The building is full of history. Its like being plunged into every possible corner of magic in a place that is very magical inside.
