Sitting rather prettily, overlooking Victoria Park, Fayre Share is all about sharing food – not just sharing a meal. Hence all the dishes on the menu of British classics (even side plates) are available for one, two or four people. This is a homey sort of place, incorporating a covered garden, fireplace and a kitchen island bar, with tea and cakes served in the restaurant’s lounge area. In the dining room, groups of guests can tuck into the likes of roasted beer chicken followed by Arctic roll with jelly – though the pies are worthy of lengthy consideration. Will it be shepherd’s pie, a leek and mushroom variety, or the ‘pie of the day’? Drinks also stick to the British theme, so you can slake your pre- or post-pie thirst with the likes of a British Bramble, Pimm’s or G&Ts served in teapots.
