Everything was top notch. This family-owned restaurant is so charming and well cared for. They serve the freshest vegetables and breads, perfectly cooked entrees and creatively curated dishes with signature touches. Everyone was so welcoming. I can't wait to go back.

Clifford’s was a treat to finally be able to get a reservation and the anticipation was very high given the exclusivity and price. Ultimately we were happy we went, service was great, parts of the meal were fantastic but others were just not quite there for the price. Crab cake appetizer was off the charts but my prime rib entree was pretty tough and lacking much flavor. We left happy and glad we got to try it and meet the amazing folks that run Clifford, but decided it’s not worth the reservation process or price. With many other outstanding options in the area like Della Terra or off the hook, I don’t find a huge need to go back but glad it exists. This place has an outstanding reputation by many who see it as a 5 star restaurant, I certainly can see how others can get there but for me it was 4 stars, when comparing to other restaurants in the area and the difficult reservation process.

Good service, good food, reasonably priced wine - what is there not to like?

We had high expectations since getting a reservation is so difficult. Parking was free and plentiful. The restaurant is beautifully appointed. We were seated immediately and given menus. Entree prices ranged from $36-56. The hostess was nice and returned to the table to describe a long list of specials that were hard to remember. There were as many specials as there were items on the menu. It would have been helpful if the specials were presented in writing. The server was sweet. Bread was served immediately and was delicious. I ordered a bone-in pork chop special and my spouse ordered baked cod. The pork chop was served with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The food was average at best - not bad but certainly didn’t blow us away. The price for my pork chop was $56 and somewhat of a surprise since it was $20 more than the boneless pork chop on the menu. For us, Clifford’s didn’t live up to its reputation . The food didn’t knock our socks off. It really wasn’t exceptional, as expected.
