About Venue

The Barrel Project is a unique venue for hire in London. Positioned in between London Bridge and Bermondsey at 80 Druid street(at the beginning of the beer mile). This unique London venue is actually the barrel ageing and blendery for The London Beer Factory. In side reconditioned wine barrels from Bordeaux and Burgundy line the walls, and the room is a light with warm low level lighting. The beautiful custom made bar offers 24 different taps of beer, along with a fully stocked back bar. This is a turkey unique and fascinating space built for function and fascination.

Nitro stout was delicious, and struck the right balance between being malty and refreshing. Peanut butter stout was good as well. The inside was spacious, loud, and unpretentious.

It was fine. The atmosphere was let down because the owner was a killjoy. We had the tiniest bottle of disaronno, which was a jokey gift for a friend leaving London, confiscated. He had given a warning just before but it was passed to a friend to put away who didn't know and took a drink, and he was a bit rude about it. We asked at the bar and he said it was "disrespectful" and had thrown it away, but seriously, we had all had a lot of drinks and food at his pub by this point and we just wanted to have a good time. It felt disproportionate and sadly we will think twice before coming here again. Also, all the vegan burgers had sold out. The rest of the food was also ok.
