About Venue

The Forbury Square business centre is in a prominent central location in the hub of Reading's recently redeveloped dynamic business district, close to the high street and main railway station. The building enjoys views over the award-winning Forbury Gardens. An oasis of peace in the centre of town, this delightful walled Victorian garden backs onto the ruins of Reading Abbey and lovely riverside walks. Reading is at the heart of the south east economy and, according to the Centre for Cities, is one of the five most recession-resilient 'cities' in the UK. It has also won accolades as 'best European city for infrastructure'. A key factor in this success is the town's high-value knowledge economy, which is based on varied sectors but primarily the three Is - IT, Investment and Insurance.

The space is 18 sqm and benefits from natural daylight.

Regus is one of the most dishonest companies I’ve dealt with. They forced me into an auto-renewal I never agreed to, ignored my cancellation emails, and even after their manager promised it wouldn’t renew, they still did charging me for a new contract and an “exit fee” of over £200 straight from my card. Hidden charges everywhere, no accountability, and no real support. Strongly not recommended.

This has been the most frustrating and dishonest company I have ever dealt with. Once you give them your card details, they start charging you for all kinds of nonsense and hidden fees. STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED My contract was due to end on 31 July 2025. According to them, it was going to be “auto-renewed” something I never agreed to or authorised. On 30 April, two months before renewal, I properly requested by email and phone not to renew. Their response? After many days of silence, they told me I should have used their app (which is full of bugs and doesn’t even work properly). Then they had the audacity to say they needed “screenshots of the app” as proof. Screenshots? Why should screenshots carry more weight than official emails? Still, I managed to get hold of them on a call, and Celina herself assured me that my contract would not be renewed. Yet, behind my back, they still renewed it overnight, took the payment, and dumped all the charges of a new contract on me charges that were never disclosed, never discussed, and never agreed. Even after leaving, they also charged me an exit fee of over £200 straight from my card — without explanation or approval. They don’t tell you about these hidden traps when you sign the contract. Instead, they make it sound like everything is simple, like renting your own office. But once you’re in, you realise it’s a complete trap. You can’t get out easily, and they keep finding ways to take money. The so-called “manager” Celina is completely unhelpful and uncooperative. They say there are no higher bosses just email “helpdesk” but nobody replies or takes responsibility. They have already taken thousands from my account without permission. This is how they cover their costs, not through actual office services. Strongly NOT recommended. Very disappointing, exploitative, and unethical practices. I will be attaching proof with this review so others can see how they operate.
