Our short break here couldn't have been more perfect. The room was beautifully furnished and quiet; the hotel and garden exquisitely maintained, retaining the authentic feel of an old country house. A big thank you to the team on reception (especially Adrian) who gave us a warm welcome and made my birthday extra special

We had a lovely two night stay for our wedding anniversary and a beautiful bedroom that was spacious and a lovely four post bed and a lovely view . The bathroom was spacious and modern with a lovely jacuzzi bath which was very relaxing . The bedroom also has a lovely coffee machine and we found it a nice place to relax and chill out . There was no noise very peaceful place and lots of birds and squirrels to view. The hotels decoration was very nice ans welcoming and so was the reception team . The stables restaurant was amazing the food was to a high standard we enjoyed two lovely meals here and two breakfasts . Steaks were amazing and so was the breakfasts so much choice to have cooked breakfast or continental. Staff were very polite and efficient with our orders. We will definitely be returning to this hotel again we came to the Nivarna spa which is only a short 9 mins car journey away which made it ideal for us . The hotel is a great place to relax and enjoy nice food would highly recommend a stay here . Thank you so much for making it memorable for us and giving us an amazing bedroom .

This is a really lovely hotel to stay at and I had a great time here. I was offered complimentary champagne on arrival as I was celebrating a special occasion and I appreciated their thoughtfulness in doing so. The hotel is a little difficult to reach without a car but you can easily book an uber from the town to get there because it is basically located in the countryside. This meant that the views were great and there were loads of pretty trees/forest to look at. The building has lovely old fashioned architecture but parts of the rooms have clearly been renovated to be more modern. I love the bathroom, in particular, because the mirror was TOUCH SCREEN (which let you turn on the light that was embedded in it) and the bathtub was big enough for TWO people! The bathtub also had water so hot it was like being in a sauna. It was such a relaxing experience to have a hot soak in it after a long day. I was sharing a slightly larger than average suite/room and the bed was quite big and spacious as well. The restaurant for breakfast is in a converted barn which turned out to be amazing - it's very quintessentially British and cozy. For breakfast, we had options like pastries, fresh fruit, hot drinks, and tasty brunch items like various types of eggs (boiled etc) served with sourdough bread. I enjoyed every single thing I tried and the food was seasoned to perfection. I loved how flaky and buttery the pastries were, it was so delicious.

We went to Cantley’s New Years Eve party for the 5th year in a row. We love it. Didn’t think it could get any better as every year has been fab, but this year was the best ever. The atmosphere was electric. The Management team put together such an amazing evening. The entertainment, dancers, saxophonist and DJ were excellent, kept everyone entertained all night. The bar staff & waiting staff are so professional, helpful & friendly. The food is gourmet & comes out hot & in good time considering how many people they are catering for. Definitely a must & we will be there again this year! Thanks again Cantley, you are the best!

Food here was lovely. The only thing letting the score down is the service. 90% of the time the service was absolutely spot on. Had a lovely lady who warmly welcomed us. And a lovely young lady who was training who was serving. Both were spot on and when their shift ended they told us and handed us over to their colleague. That’s when the problems began. We finished our food and was offered dessert menu to which we politely turned down and were left to wait at least 45 mins before settling the bill while the gentleman did anything and everything other then check on us. In that 45 minutes we were not even offered any more drinks. I don’t want to give such a low score as the food and majority of the service was great, just this one particular person.
