A brilliant package deal for a night's spa break to celebrate a loved one's 70th birthday with family. The children were allowed in the pool from 4pm-6pm and then again the next morning from 9-11am (after a buffet breakfast) so we had got to maximise their enjoyment. We had a lovely massage/facial treatment each for the adults as well as money towards our evening meal at the restaurant. The food at the main restaurant was generally good and tasty, after a few small requests. They provided brilliant service though and an evening to remember! Great cocktails, highly recommend the Gin French Martini!

I recently visited the Berystede Spa for a combination treatment—a back massage, Indian head massage, and a facial—and it was hands-down one of the best spa experiences I’ve had… it was amazing! My therapist, Laura Buckland, was absolutely incredible. From the moment we met, she was so lovely and friendly, which immediately put me at ease. The treatments themselves were amazing; the massage was exactly what I needed to de-stress, and the facial left my skin feeling rejuvenated. Laura is clearly a top class masseuse and has a wonderful, friendly and calming presence. She invited me back to have a treatment prior to my wedding in September ☺️. If you’re visiting the Berystede, I highly recommend booking in with her!

I was treated, by my daughter for my 80th birthday, for a one night stay at this lovely hotel and spa. The hotel upgraded our room as it was my special birthday which was so kind and really made our stay very special. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and the staff presented me with a pudding with a candle singing me a happy birthday! Breakfast was also included which was very tasty. Swam in the pool and it was great being in the hydro pool in the dark. Certainly a lovely surprise treat which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Me and a friend stayed at the berrystead over the weekend. Staff were very helpful. They last store her belongings in the office. So that we could spend more time in the spa, having treatments, After checking out. Spar. We had a fantastic time we had 3 different treatments and the ladies doing them were all really lovely and did a great job, especially the salt scrub. We both felt so relaxed and pampered Room. Our room, was a nice twin. Was clean and tidy and had a selection of teas and coffees. Plenty of room for the two of us. Restaurant. The only downside was the main courses in the restaurant. My friend ordered sausage a mash, which she said was not great and I ordered the rigatoni atta bolognese. It add to have been the worst meal I've ever had. It looked like a kid's penne microwave meal. It has no flavour whatsoever and the pasta was still hard. With a price tag of £19 pound, it was shocking. We plan to stay again, but definitely wouldn't eat there.

Rooms are really tired, especially the bathroom. Needs a good refurb. Also, lack of charging points, nothing near the bed. Staff didn't seem interested to ask how my stay was when we left, otherwise I would have given both positive and constructive feedback, but felt it would have fallen on deaf ears. Breakfast was very poor too. Both days food was just about warm and over cooked, with no much variety at all. The cheese and ham look liked it'd been sat there more than a morning. Afternoon tea if wasn't part of package, would have more likely complained. Sandwiches were stale and pastry on cake tasted stale. On to the positive - dinner was really good on the first night. Went well over of £25pp budget, but we did get steak and it was very nice. The spa was generally great too. Nice outdoor hydropool (although only warm enough in the morning), nice sauna and steam room and hot beds. Pool big enough and never too busy. Became crowded in sauna area around 5pm. Massage was the best I've had in years, Laura was fantastic, and left feeling very relaxed and refreshed
