It's 5 stars all round! Great efficient friendly staff, excellent coffee with a few choices (they sell and grind beans too )👌 The food is top notch, cleanly and nicely presented, top quality produce and consistently tasteful. Eggs 🥚 cooked to perfection (I personally find that a little difficult!). The room has skylights, so under natural light (!!) and there's a garden too. Plenty of parking behind the street (also fascinating for the antique and other shops). A great place and area in all weathers.

Been here twice. Last time good was good. Today, I ordered a croissant and toffee cake with two teas. I ordered at the counter and the servers didn’t indicate where cutlery or napkins were. When I enquired, I was answered a little abruptly; they were talking to a friend at the time. We carried cakes outside and waited more than ten minutes for two pots of tea. Café was by no means busy at all. I went in and asked if the waiting tray with two teas was mine. Tea served in a chipped cup.

"Planet-conscious coffee roasters" but which planet? Another chain, another dreary & tired coffee house. It is a very shoddy and tatty place, Placing our order was fine and I tipped the counter staff. However, things rapidly went downhill with rude, indifferent table service. The outside table was dirty, wet and wobbly, our teas came well after our food, in chipped teapots and cups! The food (2 plates) came separately; the Turkish eggs were lukewarm and the plate stone cold. My friend's avocado and egg smash (really, again?) was similarly poor and looked dreadful. When her food came, significantly after mine, the waiter unbelievably said, he didn't have time to bring her any cutlery, "You'll have to get it yourself ." That really takes the biscuit. The "pure mint tea", at £3:20, was basic dried tea. Appalling and I wouldn't return.
