We went for a baby shower and a 3 course lunch. It was absolutely glorious. Food was excellent as we had the vegetarian option, which was superb. The room was light and airey. The staff were all friendly and helpful.Nothing was too much trouble for them. Just loved it. Thank you.

The rooms were ok, good that it had a bath however plug was grubby. Staff when we were greeted couldn’t be bothered to smile, or have any warmth. It wasn’t very welcoming. Staff at breakfast were lovely and the only reason it went to 3 stars, suggest she train the rest of your front of house staff. My stay was Wednesday -Thursday. I also couldn’t order any food til 6pm, I’m sure not a problem for most but inconvenient for me. The key entry was frustrating because the plastic keyring was huge, made it difficult to unlock the door, I appreciate very nit picky.

Upon arrival there were several people gathered around the entrance, all happily intoxicated, All clearly dressed for a wedding. The loud music added to the party atmosphere, however, it made checking in difficult due to the volume. Luckily for us, we were there to meet friends in the town and would arrive back soon after midnight, so the noise and the party could continue without us having to endure it all evening. However, please ask if there is a party if you want a quiet and peaceful stay here. I absolutely do not mind others having fun, it's great to see, but some people are less tolerant. In the morning we decided not to go down for breakfast as it would most likely be full of the wedding party, so I rang down to reception for extra tea, milk and sugar. The foreign lady was very nice but had great difficulty in understanding what I was asking for and eventually someone else brought up tea bags and sugar but no milk. It wasn't worth the embarrassment of having to call again, so we checked out and had breakfast elsewhere.
