This place is really stunning. Amazing on the outside and really beautiful on the inside. The history is varied and really interesting. The guides were fountains of knowledge and really forthcoming with it. From pleasure.palace to war hospital. It's seen a lot. Well worth a visit.

A truly remarkable place to visit. Opulence in spadefuls. Audio guide an excellent way to learn about each room and with extra information from the enthusiastic room stewards you gain so much. Do not rush but take time to soak up the atmosphere created and appreciate the workmanship of the craftsmen and women.

It's like a wedding cake! Look carefully at the ornamental architectural elements and they look like cake decorations. The staircase appears to be bamboo, but is in fact cast iron with a mahogany railing made to resemble bamboo. George IV was infamous for his extravagant spending but this is an incredibly beautiful structure by architect John Nash. Magnificent interiors from the Regency period are on view and are testament to the masterful artisans and craftsmen of the time under the direction of designers Robert Jones & Frederick Crace. The Prince Regent who later became King George IV, was one of a very select group of Royals who made the world a more beautiful place through the Royal Collection Trust. He was also responsible for the creation of the Grand Service of silver-gilt still in use today. Admission. 5 Wows!

Great location and a typical interior of a corporate hotel. The reception staff were excellent and efficient but the breakfast staff needed to be reminded what they were there for by the duty manager. A big minus was that they had 4 staff behind the bar and decided to close it at 10.00pm as "it wasn't busy"? Why have 4 staff when 1 or 2 would have done? A number of hotel residents came in later after the bar closed and were surprised to find they couldn't get a nightcap!

Very beautiful place to chance upon, hidden away in the streets of Brighton! It was only ten minutes walk from our hotel, so we had a stroll through on the way to go shopping. We didn't stop to do more than take in the architecture, but there is a museum and I think some sort of indoor exhibition that we'd be keen to see next time. Really pleasant, have a stroll and take a look!
