Will not come here again. I ordered my ticket and some food and prepared to pay with cash…because I had cash not card…and the millennial behind the counter, whilst sweet, proceeded to tell me they had “cashed up for the day”!! So it’s only card. And please understand this as 5pm on a Monday. When the cinema would have only started to get busy! Then thru discussion and convo there seemed to be a switch in the reason for not taking cash. The first reason actually…was “oh the system is down so card only”. Say what? Hahahahahaha. You need a system? To take cash? Seriously - which is it?! In the end she very “kindly” like she’s doing me a favour….took my cash and paid on her personal card. There were not signs saying they’re cashless. But I’m assuming they are? I do NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE for that reason. That’s the deal breaker for me and it ought to be a deal breaker for all of us…to keep us free. The next issue was the tiny cinema room had its door wedged open…no one came to close the door when the film start time came. And there was light and hustle and bustle of the counters just outside. I ended up getting off my fat backside and closing it for all of us. And we had a happy evening. :D. As much as one can watching napoleon and all the scary fighting.

When I went to buy popcorn, I smiled at their team member and said "Happy New Year". He turned his face to the till and said it back with a robotic face and looking at the till. I felt disgusted, because I know how hard is to work on New Year's Day and how nice it's to be treated like a human by customers. he obviously didn't appreciate and took it on me the fact that he had to work on New Year's Day. I then asked for my popcorn and noticed cards asking for feedback. I took one of them and asked him "Would you write your name here, please?". He said "What?". I repeated the question not looking at him again. He said "Only if you give me a good review". I didn't say a word back. He then wrote a name "Luigi" on the card, but I very much doubt his name I'd Luigi. He has a very strong Eastern European accent. I'm half Italian, I lived in Italy and there's no way that guy was Italian. He's tall with strawberry blonde hair. The popcorn was cold. Screen (I don't know which one, but I was watching 'One Life' on 1st Jan 2024): - The chairs have numbers, but the rows have no letters, or at least very hard to find. You have to guess your row and I ended up having a discussion with an elderly lady because I sat in the wrong row by mistake. I noticed other people also looking for the letters, not finding them, getting confused and helped by people that were already sat there (as there were no members of staff on the premises); - Chair rows very near one another and people having difficulty to pass through people already sat down without hurting them; - We could hear the movie from the other screen when our movie didn't have much noise. - No ticket control at all, I guess being the reason why the screen venue was so full. I used to love yor cinema years ago, but I'm not coming back, I'm afraid.

Overall: ★★★★☆ Mid way commercial cinema experience between The Everyman and The Odeon. Good for Wimbledon which let’s face it that despite best efforts is pretty run down and soulless. (I think I speak with reasonable authority having been born and raised in SW19 and seen the downward decline in the name of modernisation over the last 50+ years) Expect conventional but reasonably comfortable seats on a slight incline to allow good viewing. You’re not going to get the luxurious sofa with little tables and high quality seat service like The Everyman but you are a cut above the boring Odeon chain. You feel like you’re part of something in the middle. You are. Food: Nice selection of snacks. What I liked: • £14 per ticket (non member rate) • Reasonable food and drink offering • Colour themed screens • Friendly staff • The have special screenings adapted for those with different requirements. • Good value membership schemes for cinema aficionados What I didn’t like: • Over priced popcorn • No one actually checked our tickets on entry so could easily have walked straight in. Conversely this makes me question the security. • Not quite enough of an incline on the seating meaning it was a stretch most of the time to look over peoples heads to read the subtitles Do I recommend going? YES Will I go again? YES Was it good value? $ Price Point: &

Nice cinema but has gone downhill of late. Had to leave recently as the sound was faulty and the staff never even checked after my complaint. I have also been and lights have been left on in the screen and it's just become a bit poo. So sad. Would rather travel into central London for a better branch like Soho or the wonderful Bloomsbury. Wimbledon can burn. It's toilet.
