The Hillcrest Hotel - Widnes, The Victory Suite

We booked this Hotel for a family even and many of our friends and Family stayed at the Hotel. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us nothing was too much trouble, Particularly Mathews attention to detail. The Rooms were clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was good and plentiful. I can Highly recommend

I am currently staying at this hotel, and it is by far the worst experience I have ever had. The cleanliness is extremely poor — the pillows smell bad and they are very dirty, and there was even leftover toothpaste by the sink when I arrived. The towel rack fell off the wall as soon as I tried to use it, which clearly shows a lack of maintenance. To make matters worse, the heating does not work at all. There is also a strong and unbearable smell of tobacco and other substances in the corridor, which makes the environment very unpleasant. On top of that, there has been constant noise throughout the night, with people slamming doors and making it impossible to rest. I am extremely disappointed with my stay. This experience has been far below expectations and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

AVOID THIS HOTEL Now has started housing migrants again . Constantly walking up and down Cronton Lane. Locals not consulted not surprisingly PROTESTS outside last year in September again .Numerous complaints on local Google that rooms are dirty etc . It used to be a reasonable destination for family celebrations and meals that used to be about 10 years ago but has really gone downhill. Looks pretty from the outside but that's where things end . BOOK your family celebration or brief stay ANYWHERE but here . My family have been connected with this area of over 40 YEARS and have really observed this hotel go downhill. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
