Excellent stay at Ibis. The staff are genuinely friendly and professional, with special recognition to Louise for her outstanding warmth, attentiveness, and efficiency. Her service significantly elevated the overall experience. The hotel’s location is highly strategic. It is very close to the station, with a bus stop directly in front of the hotel. Despite this, most destinations are easily reachable on foot, making transportation largely unnecessary. Clean rooms, efficient service, and a prime location make this Ibis a reliable and well-managed choice.

The rooms are fine, although bits could do with a bit of a refresh. Extremely comfortable bed, and the rooms were VERY quiet considering the central location. Nice comfortable bar/restaurant for lounging in. Apart from the location, the best thing about this place is the reception team. I have never seen such a friendly, helpful bunch in a hotel every. Whatever they're being paid is probably not enough. Would come here again happily.

The stay was perfect from start to finish. The breakfast was very good, the room was comfortable, and the location was ideal for exploring the city, which made our stay extremely pleasant What we appreciated the most, without any hesitation, was the staff… incredibly welcoming, warm, and attentive. We had a small misunderstanding regarding a booking detail, but everything was handled with great professionalism and understanding A special mention goes to Elizabeth, who was absolutely wonderful and extremely patient with my requests and questions I highly recommend this hotel for all of its services, but especially for the genuine kindness and professionalism of the staff, which truly makes all the difference. Without a doubt, I would happily return on my next visit to the city Thank you 😊

It was our first time in Edinburgh and we thought to book an accommodation that was central/walkable to most attractions. This hotel did not disappoint! Our check-in was smooth and easy, the receptionist was probably one of the most friendliest I’ve ever encountered. She even provided suggestions of good places, activities, pubs, etc. As part of our loyalty program with Accor, we were meant to receive room upgrades (subject to availability). She did acknowledge our status, but also apologised in advance being it a busy time, which we were completely fine with. We weren’t expecting anything further, but we were welcomed to a nice and cozy room with a beautiful view of the university/museum + our welcome gift. 🎁 Though small space, it was very well thought out of. There were cupboards to store our stuff and luggage, there were cables to accommodate our personal gadgets and everything else essential (percolator, coffee machine, additional blankets, etc). Overall, it was an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend staying here and would choose to stay here again if we would be visiting Edinburgh in the future. Thank you to the amazing staff.

I had a wonderful stay. The hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the city, just a 5 minute walk to the Royal Mile, with shops, restaurants, and bus stops all nearby. The front desk staff were exceptional, especially Louise, who was incredibly helpful and very kind throughout my stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean, making it a perfect spot to rest while exploring the city. The only minor downside was that the breakfast menu is quite small, but overall, it did not affect my experience. The water from the fountain near reception is surprisingly tasty 🤤. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a convenient and pleasant stay in Edinburgh.
