Excellent service! A wonderful stay no matter if it’s one night or a week. The staff are incredible and extremely helpful! As an American staying in Edinburgh I could not recommend them enough!!

A grand building in the Georgian New Town district. They've managed to keep all of the charm of the original features of the stunning buildings. Our room was stunning with a small but modern bathroom. The place was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated and furnished (though a light on the desk would be nice). The dining room was warm and inviting and the breakfast was generous and DELICIOUS -- well worth the money. If you like a good, traditional, full Scottish breakfast, you're in for a treat! The real stand out, though, was the staff; they were truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived Kyle and the rest made us feel right at home; not like a hotel at all!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Thee staff were top notch. They really went the extra mile (Scottish Mile 😉) to make our stay special. From the exceptional breakfasts to start our day, to making a packed lunch special for us on a long tour day. The vibe was great. Totally walkable to shops and a wide variety of eateries and pubs on Rose Street nearby, to the special sites about town. Would we stay there again? The answer is aye!

Staff are great, especially want to mention Kyle and Stefan. We stayed twice at this hotel, at the beginning and end of a multi day tour. Each room is somewhat different, and the entire hotel is very charming. The hotel is a set of older houses that have been converted into a small, upscale luxury hotel. The hotel is walking distance to the central area of Edinburgh. At our second stay, we were in one of the basement rooms, which has a small garden shared with the room next door. In the evening we sat on the patio with some friends, great place for conversation and some quiet time. The restaurant at the hotel is very good, our stay included breakfast. We did not try everything offered, but everything we tried was excellent. WiFi was excellent and high performance. No elevator, stairs are narrow and winding due to the age and nature of the building. Staff were very helpful in moving our suitcases up/down

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed Nira Caledonia a lot! The room was so beautiful and good size. Breakfast was very good and it was nice that still water bottles where available to take in the lobby. Prepare for a lot of stairs. The staff is very polite and they can help you carrying the luggage upstairs. Hotel is located in a quiet street and it takes about 20 minutes to walk up to Princess street. A couple of bus stops are also near by, so it is easy to take a bus if you get tired of walking up hill to town.
