London Marriott Maida Vale is a really nice hotel overall, especially if you’re looking for a quieter area away from the central London rush. The neighbourhood is calm, which makes it a comfortable place to unwind after a long day. The hotel has its own parking garage, and the rooms themselves are quite nice and well maintained. While the corridors feel a little dated, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the overall stay feels good value for the price. The staff are welcoming and friendly, which definitely adds to the sense of comfort during the stay. One downside is the car park access. Getting from the parking garage into the hotel can be frustrating, as it requires buzzing the front desk — and the desk isn’t always actively manned. I personally got stuck waiting around 30 minutes before being buzzed in, which was inconvenient and avoidable. On the plus side, the gym setup is excellent. The hotel has access to a club gym next door, which is a big bonus and makes working out easy and enjoyable. There’s also an Anytime Fitness nearby, so you’re well covered if fitness is important to you. Overall, despite a few operational quirks, this is a comfortable, good-value Marriott with a friendly atmosphere, strong gym access, and a peaceful location. A solid choice if you don’t mind being slightly outside central London.

Avoid :( this hotel it sucks can't believe Marrrot lends it's name to this establishment. Cons: The pool and sauna facilities are not on site they are in a run down leisure center about a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The smallest sauna, steam room and pool I've ever used. The changing rooms and building is visibly dirty and the building is old and run down. The room was cold and despite paying over £150 pounds for a single night they lock the thermostat at 25C. Took multiple calls to the front desk and finally going down in person to have this addressed. The room itself is run down marks on walls and peeling wall paper. No slippers, dressing gowns, toothpaste ECT The location is grim with the window view onto a housing estate area apparently has an 8/10 regional crime rating and it 100% has that vibe. Most staff seemed shocked that we expected our room to be warm and were a combination of uninterested and confused by the most simple requests. I've had much better service at hostels or 2 star hotels. Pros: One young male staff member I think maybe an room engineer was very helpful fixed the heating and checked in on us. The shower is excellent. Very good breakfast.

My stay was extremely disappointing due to being misled about the facilities. Before booking, I was told the pool was in the hotel and that my children could use it and the gym, both of which were false. Having to argue with staff about a security deposit I was told wouldn't be charged, combined with the rude treatment at the off-site pool, was incredibly triggering for my mental health. Between the lack of housekeeping and the unhelpful front desk staff, the only redeeming part of the trip was they remembered the small gesture for my daughters 13th and the gentleman in the restaurant (with the earring) who was amazing with my daughters friend that is autistic and don't like certain food touching (he didn't know about her condition) The service elsewhere was nowhere near a 4-star standard.

Very Disappointing Stay at Marriott Maida Vale We were very disappointed with our stay at the Marriott Maida Vale. During our five-day stay, only one of the two elevators was working, which consistently resulted in long waiting times. This was particularly frustrating during peak hours. Breakfast was also problematic. The restaurant was completely overcrowded every morning, and we had to wait several times to be seated. Glasses and coffee cups were repeatedly unavailable, and we had to ask staff to refill or replace them. This level of organization does not meet the standards we expect from a Marriott property. The most frustrating issue concerned the pool. Children are only allowed to use the pool between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. After spending long days in the city, we would have liked to relax there in the evening with our family. This restriction was not mentioned anywhere during the booking process. Had we known about it, we would have chosen a different hotel. To be fair, I was credited 10,000 points as compensation for the inconveniences, which I appreciate. I had considered not leaving a negative review because of this gesture. However, in my opinion, the overall experience does not reflect the standards typically associated with the Marriott brand. Additionally, the rooms do not offer a desk, and there is no quiet area in the lobby suitable for working. For business travelers, this is a significant drawback. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, and unfortunately not what we expect from a Marriott hotel.
