About Venue

As a heritage student bar (open since 1882, but given a lovely fresh facelift in 2022!) we can offer private events at rates (and drinks prices) that are unheard of in London. The bars unique layout means that it is suitable for both smaller parties, and larger 'club night' style events. For 50-80 people guests enjoy banquettes and communal bench style tables to cosy-up to their nearest and dearest for drinks and delicious food (buffet or Freshly made sourdough pizzas). For 80-300 people, we move the furniture to the outer and clear the dance floor! A professional sound and lighting system, and AV set up for professional DJ's means you can party well into the night! Cloakroom facility available. Come one, come all - we'll show you a good time!

Cancellation policy

10.1. You may cancel Your Booking, and thus terminate this Agreement, by writing to us prior to the Event, although We will keep: 10.1.1. Twenty per cent (20%) of the full fee (including VAT) and any additional fees, the services for which have already been delivered at the time of Your cancellation if you cancel up to 21 days from the date of your event. 10.1.2. Your full fee (including VAT) and all additional fees, regardless of whether the services for which have been delivered at the time of Your cancellation, if We receive Your written cancellation within 14 working days of the start of Your Booking.

Other rules

Guys Bar is licenced until 2.00am Mon - Sat, and 12.30am on Sun. Timings cannot be extended as our licence is based on our proximity to the hospital, last entry is Midnight.

Nice paninis for breakfast on the go and most of the staff make you feel welcome. The only disadvantage is that a specific member of staff always burns the milk in my cappuccino which never happens with other staff members. 3rd time in a row that the lady with the glasses makes my coffee and is burnt. No hate ofc, I just feel she would benefit from some extra training.
