Well this has to be one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in for a long while. Rooms are very spacious with 2 beds,bath,shower great size TV and the best tea and coffee tray. The cleaner was excellent very thorough, the rooms were spotless. The hotel is very central 5 minutes walk to town. The staff were soo welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was just the best, plenty of food to choose from and the cooked breakfast was hot. We will definitely be back for a long weekend again. Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

Lovely hotel and the staff were brilliant. We stayed in the superior room and would recommend it. Lots of space. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. The location was perfect for us, 5 mins to the station. Breakfast was really good with everything on offer. All in all a great break and definitely 5 stars

Hotel itself looks very nice. And is very well situated for the train station and town centre. The bar area and reception are lovely and the breakfast was really nice. Unfortunately the rooms aren’t so great. Very dated and our room overlooked the main road. It was so noisy even at night. We had a superior king room which is supposed to have a large double bed but it was smaller than the standard double we have at home. The bathroom was nice and clean and the rooms are big but not a great stay unfortunately.

Lucky enough to get a refurbished room only 7th floor. However I feel the room was not quite ready. Nice big bed for two but only one chair. No dressing table or luggage table and a huge waste of space behind the door. Altogether nowhere to put things down (no surfaces) Good enough room for a city hotel with a great breakfast.

This is such a mixed bag review. I do usually opt for a Leonardo and this is my 4th stay at this particular hotel. Thr staff have been great and I think that appears to be a theme across the reviews but they are battling with an aging hotel with newer branding. I paid for an executive room and I wish I hadn't of bothered. The room is so tired and dated. Its not that clean and the bathroom needs a total overhaul. Its 0625 as I write this review. I have been awake since 0515. I know its an ideally located hotel for the city centre but I have not experienced noise on this level when I have stayed here before. Its 0625 and people are crying outside the door.....and because the door is soo poorly fitted (I have a towel AND a pillow blocking the bottom to try and reduced the gap and light from coming through) the noise makes it sounds like the people are just stood in the room. I really do enjoy the Leonardo brand and I dont like leaving such negative reviews, but the staff seems to be fighting a loosing battle with this location. It needs some investment.
