I was very impressed with Leonardo Hotel. We only needed one night over somewhere close to an event, and at £53 for 2 people for 1 night the value was exceptional. The room was immaculate with a modern TV, very spacious bathroom which we took full advantage of and the bed was just on another level. Definitely recommended and we'll certainly stay again.

Really enjoyed my stay. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I checked in....thank you Scott. Room was warm, I liked that you simply turn the radiator up or down. No noisy A/C. Very large comfy clean bed. Very close to train station, 6 min walk, but not near any noisy streets at night. 5 min walk to river, perfect for a run or stroll along the quayside. 20 min walk to Baltic or Glasshouse. 5 min walk to Arena. Bathroom dated, but absolutely fine. Towels large, white and fluffy. Quick lifts. Friendly staff. Bar area quite small, but popular. Newcastle is such a friendly city to visit.

The room was quite spacious, and the beds were really comfy. The bathroom was massive with toiletries provided. Unfortunately we didn't have any hot water for the 3 nights we stayed. Our room was on a corner with two massive windows, which was lovely, but meant the road noise was constant. On our 3rd night we were woken at 3.30am by an awful load banging noise coming through the walls. We had to ring reception. The young lad came up straight away and said it was the pipes banging because the room next door had their radiator on. So he had to knock to wake them up. Check out was easy but I was very surprised that we weren't asked how our stay was.

We decided on an impromptu night away in Newcastle and chose this hotel as I have stayed here previously on a Thursday night. Also, at £53 a night, it was a bargain we couldn't pass up. The location is perfect for the train station,Centre For Life, and Utilita Arena plus right on the doorstep of Newcastle's Gay Quarter. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and our room was on the top floor with a lift and no stairs. The room was large, and both the bathroom and room were immaculately clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we both slept very well. There was a window that could be opened, tea and coffee making facilities, and an iron. The bathroom was very spacious with a lovely long bath, and shampoo, shower gel, and hand wash were all complimentary. I was delighted to find a modern TV in the room also. The only downside was that the water for my bath was only lukewarm, which was a shame, but overall, we were very happy with our stay and would stay here again.
