The four star Montague on the Gardens Hotel combines the best of two worlds. In front is the British Museum and the hurly-burly of tourist London, whilst to the rear there's a serene private garden, cut off from the city by a rectangle of fine Georgian townhouses.

Between the two lies The Montague on the Gardens Hotel – an intriguing blend of up-to-the-minute city vibrancy and old-world Bloomsbury charm, where guests can expect British hospitality at its finest.

Featuring an excellent array of peaceful and exciting outdoor and indoor event spaces, as well as our seasonal pop-up concepts, The Montague Ski Lodge and The Beach Bar.

We came here just for high tea, and the service was wonderful. Declan and Nathan were great, and the hostess was incredibly helpful and kind (we forgot to grab her name😭). Tea was fantastic and they let us take home the scones we couldn’t finish. The terrace that we ate at was very aesthetic, and we got some great pictures.

Affordable option near the British Museum. You are close to other attractions, laundry and metro station The rooms are a little small what are used in other Countries, however their bed are very comfortable and the service is great. They provide breakfast (traditional English Breakfast or American Breakfast).

This has been one of my favorite hotel stays ever. More than anything it was the wonderful and courteous staff that made our stay special. Our room was nice and well maintained, the breakfast was very good, the afternoon tea and bar was so convenient, and the location was perfect for us. But the friendly and helpful staff made every part of the experience better.

I can’t say enough about our time at this charming boutique hotel! The location is amazing and the staff endeavours to make each guest feel like they are special! We stayed here celebrating a special occasion and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was unforgettable! There were hand-signed cards from the staff celebrating our special occasion, as well as special treats left in our room for us to enjoy throughout our stay. Although the hotel is undergoing some maintenance and renovations, there were never any issues with noise and all the amenities were accessible and lovely. The breakfast service is wonderful! The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have all you need to start your day right! The bar is charming and you can order dinner there as well as lighter “bar bites”. It really was the best staying here and we would definitely come back for another visit!
